John 8:12

Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.”

O child of God, are you following the Lord today or are you following the ways of the world? Are you following the light or are you following the darkness? Jesus instructed His people to follow Him and only Him. Yet we see so many who claim the name of Jesus following after the ways of this old sinful world.
In our sinful state we would rather follow the darkness of this world. But, Jesus saved us from that sinful state and has brought us into the light. Yet, as rebellious children we are drawn back into our life. And O what a struggle it is to flee the temptations of this life. O how satan uses those temptations to draw us from the light.
Our best defense in these times is to stay in God's Word and to be continually in prayer with our Heavenly Father.
O unsaved soul, are you tired of walking in the darkness? Has the Holy Spirit of God been convicting you about your sinful ways? Are you starting to desire to come into the light? When Jesus calls, answer. When the Great Shepherd finds you in the snares of this old world, do not resist. Do not try to hide. Step into His light. Believe on His name. Repent of your sin. Fall at His feet and worship Him.

Praise ye the Lord!!!

Isaiah 55:8-9

For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.”

In these verses God puts mankind in his place. God makes it clear that man is much lower than our Creator. O the audacity of man to think he can be as mighty as the God of Heaven!!! O how blasphemes for man to even think he can function on his own without intervention from God.
Since the fall of Adam, man has tried to free himself from his Creator. Yet we are helpless in this endeavor. God has proven to us over and over that we can do nothing without His approval. O how easily we forget it was God who gave Adam dominion over the earth. This was not Adam acting on his own. Nor was it Adam taking this dominion from God. It was given to Adam as a responsibility to be a good steward of God's creation. But after the fall, because of man's sin, he lost all communion with God. Only through God's grace and by the faith God put in man could man once again commune with his Creator. And all this only by God's election and choosing for Himself a remnant. A chosen people He has prepared for Himself. A people so precious to Him that He sent His only begotten Son to be the sacrifice that would cover all their sin from the fall of Adam till they are called home to be with Him.
If you are reading this today and you are not saved look to Christ. Fore through Him only will you find true peace and joy in this life. If His Holy Spirit is convicting you of your sin and pointing out all your faults and has put a desire in you to seek help, believe on the name of Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved.

Luke 5:32

I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.”

Acts 3:19
Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.”

Acts 4:12

Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”

Isaiah 53:1

Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed?”

O how many times we are discouraged when we hear the gospel presented to the unsaved and to hear it so clearly. So clearly the most simple minded person should be able to understand. Yet, even though they sit there listening attentively, they do not hear and they do not believe.
In our sinful state in this life we tend to think we can help the Lord with those who do not believe. Some will sing all five verse of “Just as I am” multiple times during the invitation at the end of the service, begging the lost to come. Some preachers will purposely change their sermon when they see the unsaved sneak in the back door after service has started. And still others will preach nothing but the gospel message service after service while the saved sheep starve from lack of being feed.
It is the Lord who gives the increase. Not us. Not our preaching/teaching. Now, the Lord does use us and our preaching/teaching of His Word to spread the Gospel. But, it is only in His time and for His purpose and glory.
Please understand, as God's children, He has given us a desire to see others saved. He has instilled that within us. God has given us a heart to see the lost saved. And even though we know not who His lost sheep are we are commanded to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all the world. But, we are called only to preach the Gospel. We are not called nor do we have the power to save lost souls. Only Christ has this power. It is through His blood they will be saved and not of their works and certainly not of our works.
We often times forget that ministers are also called to feed the sheep. The saved sheep. He is to make disciples for Christ of them. Teaching them in the ways of our Lord. Teaching them the commandments of our Lord. He is to minister unto their needs. Physical, mental, and spiritual needs.
Certainly there are times the Gospel needs to be preached every service. Not only for the lost, but God's people need to be reminded of who they are and who's they are and why. But we must make certain it is of the Lord and not our own wants and desires.

Praise ye the Lord!!!

Isaiah 6:8

Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.”

I will be speaking to the men of God who are reading this today.
Are you willing to go if the Lord were to call today? Where are you willing to go? When are you willing to go? Do you have your own stipulations on when and where you will go? Or are you waiting on the Lord to make the way? There is a difference.
So many of God's men are so consumed with the ideas of the world or by the suggestions of friends and family that when the Lord does call they have no desire to go.
Notice in the sixth chapter of Isaiah, Isaiah does not hesitate nor does he question the Lord. When the question is asked by the Lord “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” Isaiah immediately says “Here am I; send me.”
How many godly men do we all know who are well versed in God's Word and seem to have a desire to share with others the knowledge our Lord has given them of His Word? But when asked if they will go to pastor or will they go to the mission field, they say “not me”. And we hear every excuse for why they won't go or in their eyes, why they can't go. Whether it is their family or their job, or the worldly comforts they are accustom too. Most are not willing to leave behind the riches and comforts of this world for a life of living strictly by faith in God for their every need.
What good does it do us to have a knowledge of God's Word if we are not willing to use it to His glory? How many of the Lord's churches are starving and many even dying out because no one will go?
I challenge you all to think on these things. If God has given you a desire to teach His Word and to share the knowledge He has given you then is He calling you to go or has He something right where you are? Are you willing to go as did Isaiah and the other prophets in the Old Testament and the Apostles and other men were in the New Testament? Or will you set back and keep the riches of God's Word to yourself?

Psalm 66:1-2

Make a joyful noise unto God, all ye lands: Sing forth the honour of his name: make his praise glorious.”

O what a wonderful start to a new week!!! Praise God He has given the breathe of life to continue praising His name in this old sinful world!!!
We have an endless supply of blessings from our Heavenly Father. So many so that we could never count them all. So many so that we will never have lack of things to praise Him.
O the enumerable blessings bestowed upon us by our Heavenly Father!!! From what we consider the very simplest to what we think of as the most complex. All because of His love for His children. All to His glory and our good.

Praise ye the Lord!!!

Psalm 95:1-3

O come, let us sing unto the Lord: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation. Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms. For the Lord is a great God, and a great King above all gods.”

O what a glorious God we serve!!! O how He deserves our every praise!!! O how we ought to be glorying in His name continuously!!!
As we enter into another new week and knowing with His grace and mercy we can have comfort knowing our Lord will be with us no matter what He brings our way. I know there are a those who are suffering from loss of loved ones and those who are suffering with illness and dealing with illness with others today. My prayer is that you will look to our Lord for comfort and peace. Seek His guidance in all your trials and persecutions. Draw near to Him in your weakest hour. In physical and mental weakness seek spiritual strength for our Heavenly Father. Turn your eyes upon Jesus. Seek His face. Fore it is through Him that all our cares and worries will grow dim and seem as nothing.

Praise ye the Lord!!!

Romans 8:18
For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.”

O what a hope we have in our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus!!! No matter what sufferings we go through in this life, we have that blessed hope that He will return for us and keep us with Him for all eternity!!! What a glorious thought to know that the trials and persecutions and the troubles we suffer here in the old sinful world will all be no more. The aches and pains and disease. The thorns and the thistles. The many afflictions we suffer here because of our sin. O what hope we have!!! To know beyond a shadow of a doubt that our Lord will take us away from all this some day!!!
O child of God, no matter what we suffer here. Grief from the death of a loved one. The daily sorrows and disappointments of dealing with those who are of this world. We have hope!!! Jesus Christ!!! The Son of God is our only hope!!! Without Him we have nothing.

Praise ye the Lord!!!

Ephesians 5:25-27
25Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
26That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
27That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.”

Husbands, how much do you love your wife? Do you love her enough to give everything for her? Would you give your life if it were required, for her? Are you doing all that is required by our Lord for her?
As husbands we must follow the commandments of our Lord. When it comes to our marriage, our wife is to be our number two in this life following only our Lord who must obviously be number one. No other person or persons in this life can change that order of ranking. As the Church is to Christ, so must our wife be to us. Christ and His bride are to be the example of how we are to be in our marriages. Not the world. Not worldly thought our advice. We hear so much about books and videos and seminars for marriage counseling from the world and from so called Christian counselors. For the most part these are lacking when it comes to Biblical based advice.
When it comes to our marriages, stay close to God's Word. Follow not the world. Forget what we see in movies and television. Be careful of those who claim the name of Christ but refer to the world and the world's ways when it comes to marriage. Follow the example of Christ and His bride.

Praise ye the Lord!!!

Proverbs 12:4

“A virtuous woman is a crown to her husband: but she that maketh ashamed is as rottenness in his bones.”

O what joy it is for a man to know the Lord has given him a virtuous woman as a wife!!! Other than our salvation is there anything other gift from God that is more precious than a virtuous wife. Men, we ought to thank God often everyday for this blessing. We ought to be showing her our love and devotion and giving her our respect. We are to love her as Christ so loves His church and gave Himself for her. Would we give our life for our wife? Are we so devoted to her that we would leave the cares and the lusts of this world and devote our time to her and with her?
Husbands, follow the example of Christ. Love your wife as He loves the church. Be all forgiving, all loving, all understanding, and all devoted to her. Be the leader in the home she desires and needs from you. Not just the physical leader but the spiritual leader also. And do all this to the glory of God!!! For without Him we have nothing!!!

Praise ye the Lord!!!
