Morning Devotional July 31, 2021

1 Peter 2:24

“Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.”

So you say you are a Christian? But you have no desire to fellowship with the Lord's people? You say you don't have time to study His Word or commune with our Heavenly Father? You say God has and is blessing you yet you refuse to praise and glorify His name above all others?

When the church in which you are a member congregates to worship, where are you? Why are you a member if you have no desire to congregate? But, you are a Christian, right? A follower of Jesus Christ, really? Jesus bare your sins on the tree, made you dead to sins, healed your stripes, and yet you don't love Him enough to follow His commandments?

What are the desires of your heart this morning? Are you full of love for our Lord and Savior or for the things of the world? You say you are a Christian. Prove it.

Praise ye the Lord!!!

Morning Devotional July 30, 2021

Luke 10:21-24

“21 In that hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes: even so, Father; for so it seemed good in thy sight.

22 All things are delivered to me of my Father: and no man knoweth who the Son is, but the Father; and who the Father is, but the Son, and he to whom the Son will reveal him.

23 And he turned him unto his disciples, and said privately, Blessed are the eyes which see the things that ye see:

24 For I tell you, that many prophets and kings have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.”

John 15:10-11

“10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.

11 These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.”

Proverbs 4:14-19

“14 Enter not into the path of the wicked, and go not in the way of evil men.

15 Avoid it, pass not by it, turn from it, and pass away.

16 For they sleep not, except they have done mischief; and their sleep is taken away, unless they cause some to fall.

17 For they eat the bread of wickedness, and drink the wine of violence.

18 But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.

19 The way of the wicked is as darkness: they know not at what they stumble.”

1 Timothy 5:8

“But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.”

Could this not also include providing spiritually for your own as well as physically? Think about that this morning.

Philippians 2:9-11

“9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:

10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;

11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”

Genesis 1:27

“So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.”

No questions. No doubts. No wondering. God created male and female and that's all. It doesn't get any clearer than that. God tells in His Word, clearly, the role of each in marriage and in life. Anything different is an abomination in the sight of God. Anything else is sin against God.

Notice in our text who created who.

Praise ye the Lord!!!

Philippians 2:5-11

“5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:

7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:

8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:

10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;

11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”

Psalm 119:103

“How sweet are thy words unto my taste! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth!”

How is it with you and God's Word today? Is it the sweetest thing you have ever consumed or is it too bitter to tolerate?

Praise ye the Lord!!!

Morning Devotional July 5, 2021

Ephesians 6:11-13

“11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.”

Putting on the whole armour of God should be a daily practice. As common as putting on our clothes every morning. Part of our morning devotion and communion with our Lord should be preparation for the day ahead of us.

Praise ye the Lord!!!

Morning Devotional July 4, 2021

John 8:36

“If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.”

We boast of freedom and liberty in our nation, but true freedom and true liberty can only be found in Jesus Christ. What we have in this life is only temporal, only for the short time we live here in this life. But what about eternity? Will you be free for all eternity or will you be bound forever?

Praise ye the Lord!!!

2 Samuel 22:31-33

“31 As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the Lord is tried: he is a buckler to all them that trust in him.

32 For who is God, save the Lord? and who is a rock, save our God?

33 God is my strength and power: and he maketh my way perfect.”

1 Samuel 2:1-2

“1 And Hannah prayed, and said, My heart rejoiceth in the Lord, mine horn is exalted in the Lord: my mouth is enlarged over mine enemies; because I rejoice in thy salvation.

2 There is none holy as the Lord: for there is none beside thee: neither is there any rock like our God.”

Isaiah 32:1-4

“1 Behold, a king shall reign in righteousness, and princes shall rule in judgment.

2 And a man shall be as an hiding place from the wind, and a covert from the tempest; as rivers of water in a dry place, as the shadow of a great rock in a weary land.

3 And the eyes of them that see shall not be dim, and the ears of them that hear shall hearken.

4 The heart also of the rash shall understand knowledge, and the tongue of the stammerers shall be ready to speak plainly.”

Psalm 61:2-4

“2 From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

3 For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy.

4 I will abide in thy tabernacle for ever: I will trust in the covert of thy wings.”

Have you been in the shadow of the Great Rock?

Praise ye the Lord!!!
