Morning Devotional December 7, 2025

 

Psalm 37:1-9

“1Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity.

2 For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb.

3 Trust in the Lord, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.

4 Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

5 Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.

6 And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.

7 Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.

8 Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.

9 For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the Lord, they shall inherit the earth.”

Morning Devotional December 6, 2025

 

Acts 20:28-32

”²⁸ Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.

29 For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.

30 Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.

31 Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears.

32 And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.”

 

It’s sad to see so many whom the Holy Spirit has placed as overseers to feed the churches of God turn out to be the grievous wolves who enter in preaching false doctrine and sparing not the flock. Men who know better and were taught better. Yet, for their own wants and lusts seek something they deem better than God Himself. The Lord’s churches are commanded to be the pillar and ground of the truth in this life. But so many today seek after the ways of the world’s religion and are not satisfied with the Word of God. What a shame when a man forsakes his calling from God for the lust of the flesh and the pride of life. No care for the flock God has made them overseers of.
