of the Lord: my heart and my flesh crieth out for the living God.

swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, even thine altars, O
Lord of hosts, my King, and my God.

commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou
dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.”

“1 My brethren,
have not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with respect of
persons.
2 For if there come unto your assembly a man with a
gold ring, in goodly apparel, and there come in also a poor man in vile
raiment;
3 And ye have respect to him that weareth the gay
clothing, and say unto him, Sit thou here in a good place; and say to the poor,
Stand thou there, or sit here under my footstool:
4 Are ye not then partial in yourselves, and are
become judges of evil thoughts?
5 Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen
the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath
promised to them that love him?
6 But ye have despised the poor. Do not rich men
oppress you, and draw you before the judgment seats?
7 Do not they blaspheme that worthy name by the which
ye are called?
8 If ye fulfil the royal law according to the
scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well:
9 But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin,
and are convinced of the law as transgressors.
10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet
offend in one point, he is guilty of all.
11 For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said
also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art
become a transgressor of the law.
12 So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be
judged by the law of liberty.
13 For he shall have judgment without mercy, that hath
shewed no mercy; and mercy rejoiceth against judgment.”

“11 Thine, O Lord is the greatness, and the power, and
the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and
in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O Lord, and thou art exalted as
head above all.
12 Both riches and honour come of thee, and thou
reignest over all; and in thine hand is power and might; and in thine hand it
is to make great, and to give strength unto all.
13 Now therefore, our God, we thank thee, and praise
thy glorious name.”

“I, even I, am the Lord; and beside me there is no
saviour.”
What part of
this verse do we not understand? Only the Lord, Jesus Christ is our Saviour.
There is none other. No, not our favorite sports hero, or our favorite actor,
or our favorite politician, or our favorite cartoon character. Not our job, or
our retirement, or our spouse, or our doctor, etc. Only the Lord Jesus Christ
has the authority and the ability to save the lost from their sins. No one
besides Him. So, how about we stop putting more faith in men than in the Lord
and Savior, Jesus Christ and trust Him and only Him for everything.

his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without
iniquity, just and right is he.”

faithfulness.
24 The Lord is my portion, saith my soul; therefore
will I hope in him.
25 The Lord is good unto them that wait for him, to
the soul that seeketh him.
26 It is good that a man should both hope and quietly
wait for the salvation of the Lord.
27 It is good for a man that he bear the yoke in his
youth.
28 He sitteth alone and keepeth silence, because he
hath borne it upon him.
29 He putteth his mouth in the dust; if so be there
may be hope.
30 He giveth his cheek to him that smiteth him: he is
filled full with reproach.
31 For the Lord will not cast off for ever:
32 But though he cause grief, yet will he have
compassion according to the multitude of his mercies.
33 For he doth not afflict willingly nor grieve the
children of men.
34 To crush under his feet all the prisoners of the
earth.
35 To turn aside the right of a man before the face of
the most High,
36 To subvert a man in his cause, the Lord approveth
not.
37 Who is he that saith, and it cometh to pass, when
the Lord commandeth it not?
38 Out of the mouth of the most High proceedeth not
evil and good?
39 Wherefore doth a living man complain, a man for the
punishment of his sins?”
