Psalm 53

“The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that doeth good. God looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, that did seek God. Every one of them is gone back: they are altogether become filthy; there is none that doeth good, no, not one. Have the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread: they have not called upon God. There were they in great fear, where no fear was: for God hath scattered the bones of him that encampeth against thee: thou hast put them to shame, because God hath despised them. Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! When God bringeth back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.”

Ephesians 2:8, 9

“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”

There is a very popular teaching out there today that says man has a free will when it comes to his salvation. There is nothing further from the truth than this teaching and there is nothing more blasphemous than for a child of God to fall for this lie.
If we are to believe that God is soveriegn, all knowing, and the creator of all things then we must believe this all sovereign God we serve must be in control of everything, even our salvation.
According to the verses above, whose grace saves us? Where does this faith come from? It plainly says it is not of ourselves. So from whom does these things come? The verse plainly gives us the answer to all these questions. It is the gift of God!!! Praise God!!! Our salvation is THE GIFT OF GOD. Our works have nothing to do with our salvation. There is nothing we can do to win our salvation. There is no prayer we can recite nor any prayer from another that can win our soul to God. God will call us unto Himself. God, by His marvelous grace brings the gift of salvation to us. We do not go seeking this gift. We do not take this gift on our own. He comes to us and gives it to us. Putting the faith needed to accept this gift in us by His Holy Spirit and makes us willing to accept this gift.
The salvation of man is wholy dependant upon the grace of God and has nothing to do with man's so called free will. Man in his free will would never go looking for God. The holyness and rightousness of God is the last thing that sinful man is looking for. Thus we have this false doctrine of man's free will.
Man's free will teaches that man has as much or more power over himself as does God. What a joke this is!!! What deception satan has put on men that they would believe they can save themselves.
I encourage you; read the Word God. Study to show thyself approved unto God.
Praise ye the Lord!!!

Psalm 57

“Be merciful unto me, O God, be merciful unto me: for my soul trusteth in thee: yea, in the shadow of thy wings will I make my refuge, until these calamities be overpast. I will cry unto God most high; unto God that performeth all things for me. He shall send from heaven, and save me from the reproach of him that would swallow me up. Selah. God shall send forth his mercy and his truth. My soul is among lions: and I lie even among them that are set on fire, even the sons of men, whose teeth are spears and arrows, and their tongue a sharp sword. Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens; let thy glory be above all the earth. They have prepared a net for my steps; my soul is bowed down: they have digged a pit before me, into the midst whereof they are fallen themselves. Selah. My heart is fixed, O God, my heart is fixed: I will sing and give praise. Awake up, my glory; awake, psaltery and harp: I myself will awake early. I will praise thee, O Lord, among the people: I will sing unto thee among the nations. For thy mercy is great unto the heavens, and thy truth unto the clouds. Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens: let thy glory be above all the earth.”

Romans 5:8

“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”

What a glorious gift our Heavenly Father has bestowed upon us!!! “While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Knowing of our sinful nature. Knowing we are no good and low down scoundrels. Our Heavenly Father still chose to love us and chose to save us from hell and eternal death.
Why? For His honor and glory. Not of us but for Him. And all He asks of us is that we follow Him. If we love Him His commandments are not grievous. It is when we try to live the ways of the world and our desires are for the things of this world that His commandments become grievous. They become burdensome. We rebel and kick and scream when we hear His commandments for us preached and taught. But our God is gracious and merciful to us in that He will spank us as a child and bring us back unto Himself and continue to love us through it all.
What a loving God we serve!!! O how we deserve death and hell!!! But God loves His children so much that though we betray Him at times, though we turn our backs on Him and try to run away. All out of selfishness for ourselves He still loves us.
O dear child of God turn from the wicked ways of this world. Turn from the wicked ways of our former life. Follow the commandments of God. Follow the examples of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Remember His gospel and where you were before He opened your spiritual eye and ears to that gospel. Love the Lord thy God with all thy heart and with all thy mind and with all thy might.

Luke 24:1-12

“Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them. And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre. And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus. And it came to pass, as they were much perplexed thereabout, behold, two men stood by them in shining garments: And as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead? He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee, Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again. And they remembered his words, And returned from the sepulchre, and told all these things unto the eleven, and to all the rest. It was Mary Magdalene and Joanna, and Mary the mother of James, and other women that were with them, which told these things unto the apostles. And their words seemed to them as idle tales, and they believed them not. Then arose Peter, and ran unto the sepulchre; and stooping down, he beheld the linen clothes laid by themselves, and departed, wondering in himself at that which was come to pass.”
Praise ye the Lord!!! Praise God we serve a risen Lord and Savior. Not a babe in a manager nor a man still hanging on a cross as the religious world would have us to believe. Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God rose from the dead and was seen by many witnesses before He assended into heaven with God our Father. For if He was still a babe or still on the cross we have no Lord and Savior. To worship or observe Him as these is blasphamy against Him and His Gospel. Without a risen savior we have nothing spiritually. We would remain dead in our sins and on our way to hell. But our Heavenly Father showed grace and mercy on His elect people and gave His Son to die for our sins. But it did not stop with His death. If He had not rose from the dead we would not have a Lord and Savior. We would not have that great Comforter He promised us. We would not have a Heavenly Father that He promised. Without a risen Lord and Savior we have nothing!!!
Praise ye the Lord!!!

Philippians 3:17-21

“Brethren, be followers together of me, and mark them which walk so as ye have us for an ensample. (For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.) For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.”
O child of God, follow not after the ways of this world. Follow not after those of this world. Follow not after the ways of sin.
As children of God we are commanded by God to follow Christ. We are to follow the examples He gave in His Word. We are to follow His commandments. It is the love of our Heavenly Father that causes us to want to follow. Him. It that very love that keeps us from hell through the blood of Jesus Christ. Without that love we are not His. We are not His children but rather children of the devil.
O child of God, follow our Lord in your life. Follow not after the world or those that are of this world but follow Christ and His examples and commandments. Concentrate on the things of heaven. Leave the things of this world behind and follow Christ in all that you do.

Psalm 39

“I said, I will take heed to my ways, that I sin not with my tongue: I will keep my mouth with a bridle, while the wicked is before me. I was dumb with silence, I held my peace, even from good; and my sorrow was stirred. My heart was hot within me, while I was musing the fire burned: then spake I with my tongue, Lord, make me to know mine end, and the measure of my days, what it is: that I may know how frail I am. Behold, thou hast made my days as an handbreadth; and mine age is as nothing before thee: verily every man at his best state is altogether vanity. Selah. Surely every man walketh in a vain shew: surely they are disquieted in vain: he heapeth up riches, and knoweth not who shall gather them. And now, Lord, what wait I for? my hope is in thee. Deliver me from all my transgressions: make me not the reproach of the foolish. I was dumb, I opened not my mouth; because thou didst it. Remove thy stroke away from me: I am consumed by the blow of thine hand. When thou with rebukes dost correct man for iniquity, thou makest his beauty to consume away like a moth: surely every man is vanity. Selah. Hear my prayer, O Lord, and give ear unto my cry; hold not thy peace at my tears: for I am a stranger with thee, and a sojourner, as all my fathers were. O spare me, that I may recover strength, before I go hence, and be no more.”

Galatians 6:2

“Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.”

O child of God, are you following the law that Christ gave? Do you know what law this verse is referring to?
John 13:34, 35
“A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.”

Love one another. Our Lord makes no mention of loving the world here or love of those who are of this world. No, instead He tells His disciples to love one another. As brothers and sisters in Christ we are to have a special bond and a special love for each other. After all are we not family? Nowhere does our Lord tell us to love the world. Matter of fact, He told us several times to not follow after the world. But in these verses He commands us to love one another. We are to have so much love for our brothers and sisters that we should be burdened when they are burdened. We should consider it a blessing when one of our family asks us for prayer. We should be willing to help those who need help. Even when all we have to give is prayer.
O children of God follow our Lord's commandment. Love one another. Bear one another's burdens. Live not unto thyself but fulfil the law of Christ.

Deuteronomy 31:6

“ Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.”

When we are under great attack from the enemy. When the great deceiver uses those around us to trouble us and persicute us. When life looks bleek and dreary and we see no humanly way out. Our Lord tells us to “be strong and of a good courage”. To “fear not”. To not be afraid of whoever or whatever that comes against us.
Why or how can we go through this life without fear of that great deciever satan? Our Heavenly Father tells us, “For the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake.” Remember He told us He woupd neve leave us nor forsake us. We have a Comforter. The very Holy Spirit of God living within us. We have no need to fear. He did not give us the spirit of fear. No, that spirit of fear comes when we doubt our Lord it comes when we open ourselves up with spiritual weekness and lack of faith in God.
As children of God we are instructed to fight! We are to be on the attack and not always on the defense. We have the whole armor of God. We have the Sword of the Word of God to fight these battles. He has equiped His people with everything they need to fight off the attacks of the enemy and to take the fight to the enemy. We must learn to use the armour and the weapons He has given.
Study His Word. Stay in His Word and stay in constant contact(pray) with our Great Captain!!! Never leave His side. Fight the good fight! Preach the Word, be instant in season and out of season. Carry the battle to the enemy!!! In the name of Jesus Christ the battles of this life are won. Not of us. But in Him. Never surrender to the wiles of satan!!!

I Thessalonians 5:25

“Brethern, pray for us.”

O what powerful words in such a short verse. Brothers and Sisters in Christ we should and we must be praying for each other. With everything we have going on in this old sinful world today, we are all in much need of prayer.
We should count it a blessing when others come to us asking for prayer for themselves or their loved ones. What a great responsibilty is placed upon us by our brothers and sisters who come seeking our prayers. What greater help could we be to them?
Brothers and sisters I encourage you, pray one for another daily. When someone asks for your prayers, oblige them by doing just that.
Also, don't be to humble or stuborn to ask others to pray for you. Give others the blessing of helping you as they have blessed you in the same.

Let us all prayer for one another. When our Lord puts a brother or sister in our thoughts, stop and pray for them. When we are in need of prayer, let others know. Pray for each other and remember to ask others to pray for ourselves.

Romans 6:23

“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

Praise ye the Lord!!! If you are a child of God the greatest gift ever given us is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord!!! The fact that God, our Heavenly Father loved us so much that He would give us the greatest gift ever given.
Even though we deserve eternal death and hell. He is merciful and gracious to those He loves and chose as His own. And what a glorious thought to know we are saved by the blood of His Son Jesus Christ. What a glorious thought to know we are children of God the Creator of all things. What a glorious thought that God would even consider us before He even created the universe and the earth knowing how wicked we would be from the time we were conceived in the womb until the day He saves us with His grace and mercy.
Child of God, we should be praising our Lord and Savior for His gift of eternal life daily. Unsaved friend if the Lord is calling you to Himself, come unto Him. Believe on the name of Jesus Christ and be saved. Then repent of your sins and follow Him.

Philippians 4:1

“Therefore, my brethern dearly beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, my dearly beloved.”

Stand fast in the Lord. What great advice Paul gave the church at Philippi. As the children of God we must stand fast in Him. Never faultering. Keeping our focus and our thoughts on our Lord at all times. Continuously praying.
When the world comes against us, stand fast. When satan temps us with sin, stand fast, When all seems lost and we see no end in site, stand fast in our Lord.
Remember, He promised to never leave us nor forsake us.
O dear Christian, Stay in God's Word. Stay in constant prayer with our Heavenly Father. Follow His commandments. Stand for His truth. Stand fast in the Lord.

Psalm 140

“Deliver me, O Lord, from the evil man: preserve me from the violent man; Which imagine mischiefs in their heart; continually are they gathered together for war. They have sharpened their tongues like a serpent; adders' poison is under their lips. Selah. Keep me, O Lord, from the hands of the wicked; preserve me from the violent man; who have purposed to overthrow my goings. The proud have hid a snare for me, and cords; they have spread a net by the wayside; they have set gins for me. Selah. I said unto the Lord, Thou art my God: hear the voice of my supplications, O Lord. O God the Lord, the strength of my salvation, thou hast covered my head in the day of battle. Grant not, O Lord, the desires of the wicked: further not his wicked device; lest they exalt themselves. Selah. As for the head of those that compass me about, let the mischief of their own lips cover them. Let burning coals fall upon them: let them be cast into the fire; into deep pits, that they rise not up again. Let not an evil speaker be established in the earth: evil shall hunt the violent man to overthrow him. I know that the Lord will maintain the cause of the afflicted, and the right of the poor. Surely the righteous shall give thanks unto thy name: the upright shall dwell in thy presence.”

Psalm 38

“O Lord, rebuke me not in thy wrath: neither chasten me in thy hot displeasure. For thine arrows stick fast in me, and thy hand presseth me sore. There is no soundness in my flesh because of thine anger; neither is there any rest in my bones because of my sin. For mine iniquities are gone over mine head: as an heavy burden they are too heavy for me. My wounds stink and are corrupt because of my foolishness. I am troubled; I am bowed down greatly; I go mourning all the day long. For my loins are filled with a loathsome disease: and there is no soundness in my flesh. I am feeble and sore broken: I have roared by reason of the disquietness of my heart. Lord, all my desire is before thee; and my groaning is not hid from thee. My heart panteth, my strength faileth me: as for the light of mine eyes, it also is gone from me. My lovers and my friends stand aloof from my sore; and my kinsmen stand afar off. They also that seek after my life lay snares for me: and they that seek my hurt speak mischievous things, and imagine deceits all the day long. But I, as a deaf man, heard not; and I was as a dumb man that openeth not his mouth. Thus I was as a man that heareth not, and in whose mouth are no reproofs. For in thee, O Lord, do I hope: thou wilt hear, O Lord my God. For I said, Hear me, lest otherwise they should rejoice over me: when my foot slippeth, they magnify themselves against me. For I am ready to halt, and my sorrow is continually before me. For I will declare mine iniquity; I will be sorry for my sin. But mine enemies are lively, and they are strong: and they that hate me wrongfully are multiplied. They also that render evil for good are mine adversaries; because I follow the thing that good is. Forsake me not, O Lord: O my God, be not far from me. Make haste to help me, O Lord my salvation.”

Praise the Lord from the earth, ye dragons, and all deeps: Fire, and hail; snow, and vapours; stormy wind fulfilling his word: Mountains, and all hills; fruitful trees, and all cedars: Beasts, and all cattle; creeping things, and flying fowl: Kings of the earth, and all people; princes, and all judges of the earth: Both young men, and maidens; old men, and children: Let them praise the name of the Lord: for his name alone is excellent; his glory is above the earth and heaven. Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help. His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish. Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the Lord his God: Which made heaven, and earth, the sea, and all that therein is: which keepeth truth for ever: Which executeth judgment for the oppressed: which giveth food to the hungry. The Lord looseth the prisoners: The Lord openeth the eyes of the blind: the Lord raiseth them that are bowed down: the Lord loveth the righteous: The Lord preserveth the strangers; he relieveth the fatherless and widow: but the way of the wicked he turneth upside down. “I will extol thee, my God, O king; and I will bless thy name for ever and ever. Every day will I bless thee; and I will praise thy name for ever and ever. Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable. One generation shall praise thy works to another, and shall declare thy mighty acts. I will speak of the glorious honour of thy majesty, and of thy wondrous works. And men shall speak of the might of thy terrible acts: and I will declare thy greatness. They shall abundantly utter the memory of thy great goodness, and shall sing of thy righteousness. The Lord is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy. The Lord is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works. All thy works shall praise thee, O Lord; and thy saints shall bless thee. They shall speak of the glory of thy kingdom, and talk of thy power; To make known to the sons of men his mighty acts, and the glorious majesty of his kingdom. Thy kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and thy dominion endureth throughout all generations. The Lord upholdeth all that fall, and raiseth up all those that be bowed down. The eyes of all wait upon thee; and thou givest them their meat in due season. Thou openest thine hand, and satisfiest the desire of every living thing. The Lord is righteous in all his ways, and holy in all his works. The Lord is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth. He will fulfil the desire of them that fear him: he also will hear their cry, and will save them. The Lord preserveth all them that love him: but all the wicked will he destroy. “Blessed be the Lord my strength which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight: My goodness, and my fortress; my high tower, and my deliverer; my shield, and he in whom I trust; who subdueth my people under me. Lord, what is man, that thou takest knowledge of him! or the son of man, that thou makest account of him! Man is like to vanity: his days are as a shadow that passeth away. Bow thy heavens, O Lord, and come down: touch the mountains, and they shall smoke. Cast forth lightning, and scatter them: shoot out thine arrows, and destroy them. Send thine hand from above; rid me, and deliver me out of great waters, from the hand of strange children; Whose mouth speaketh vanity, and their right hand is a right hand of falsehood. I will sing a new song unto thee, O God: upon a psaltery and an instrument of ten strings will I sing praises unto thee. It is he that giveth salvation unto kings: who delivereth David his servant from the hurtful sword. Rid me, and deliver me from the hand of strange children, whose mouth speaketh vanity, and their right hand is a right hand of falsehood: That our sons may be as plants grown up in their youth; that our daughters may be as corner stones, polished after the similitude of a palace: That our garners may be full, affording all manner of store: that our sheep may bring forth thousands and ten thousands in our streets: That our oxen may be strong to labour; that there be no breaking in, nor going out; that there be no complaining in our streets. “O lord, thou hast searched me, and known me. Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off. Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways. For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O Lord, thou knowest it altogether. Thou hast beset me behind and before, and laid thine hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it. Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence? If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there. If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea; Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me. If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me. Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee. For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb. I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them. How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them! If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee. Surely thou wilt slay the wicked, O God: depart from me therefore, ye bloody men. For they speak against thee wickedly, and thine enemies take thy name in vain. Do not I hate them, O Lord, that hate thee? and am not I grieved with those that rise up against thee? I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them mine enemies. Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.”

I looked on my right hand, and beheld, but there was no man that would know me: refuge failed me; no man cared for my soul. I cried unto thee, O Lord: I said, Thou art my refuge and my portion in the land of the living. Attend unto my cry; for I am brought very low: deliver me from my persecutors; for they are stronger than I. “Lord, I cry unto thee: make haste unto me; give ear unto my voice, when I cry unto thee. Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense; and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice. Set a watch, O Lord, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips. Incline not my heart to any evil thing, to practise wicked works with men that work iniquity: and let me not eat of their dainties. Let the righteous smite me; it shall be a kindness: and let him reprove me; it shall be an excellent oil, which shall not break my head: for yet my prayer also shall be in their calamities. When their judges are overthrown in stony places, they shall hear my words; for they are sweet. Our bones are scattered at the grave's mouth, as when one cutteth and cleaveth wood upon the earth. But mine eyes are unto thee, O God the Lord: in thee is my trust; leave not my soul destitute. Keep me from the snares which they have laid for me, and the gins of the workers of iniquity. Let the wicked fall into their own nets, whilst that I withal escape.”

Psalm 143

“Hear my prayer, O Lord, give ear to my supplications: in thy faithfulness answer me, and in thy righteousness. And enter not into judgment with thy servant: for in thy sight shall no man living be justified. For the enemy hath persecuted my soul; he hath smitten my life down to the ground; he hath made me to dwell in darkness, as those that have been long dead. Therefore is my spirit overwhelmed within me; my heart within me is desolate. I remember the days of old; I meditate on all thy works; I muse on the work of thy hands. I stretch forth my hands unto thee: my soul thirsteth after thee, as a thirsty land. Selah. Hear me speedily, O Lord: my spirit faileth: hide not thy face from me, lest I be like unto them that go down into the pit. Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning; for in thee do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto thee. Deliver me, O Lord, from mine enemies: I flee unto thee to hide me. Teach me to do thy will; for thou art my God: thy spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness. Quicken me, O Lord, for thy name's sake: for thy righteousness' sake bring my soul out of trouble. And of thy mercy cut off mine enemies, and destroy all them that afflict my soul: for I am thy servant.”
