Habakkuk 3:17 & 18

“Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail. And the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no heard in the stalls: Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation.”

O what a glorious God we serve! O the love He has bestowed upon us and continues to love us even when we sin!
When all is gloom and doom in our lives. When everything we try to do seems for naught. When all seems lost and we have no other place to turn. When the world turns it's back on us. God, our Heavenly Father is there. Sometimes in that still, small voice. Sometimes with a loud shout! But He is always there.
In this verse Habakkuk is telling us no matter how bad it gets, we are to rejoice in the Lord. Always Praise the Lord!
We must remember who gave us the gift of salvation. It is not of ourselves but of God. We have so much to rejoice in Him for. But our salvation should be the number one gift we are thankful for and should be continually praising our Heavenly Father for blessing us with. No other gift can come close to the magnitude of our salvation on our lives.
Our salvation is unto eternal life and without it we would be eternally dead. Without the salvation of our soul we would be eternally separated from the Lord. Without salvation we have no Heavenly inheritance. Without salvation from the Lord we are doomed to hell and eternal torture.
Nothing we can do, no good work, no “sinners” prayer, no “Romans Road” can save the lost. Only the gift of God. The gift He gives us through His Son Jesus Christ. Through the shed blood of Jesus Christ we are saved from eternal death and hell.
What more do we need to rejoice in the Lord!

Praise ye the Lord!!!

Jonah 2

“Then Jonah prayed unto the Lord his God out of the fish's belly, And said, I cried by reason of mine affliction unto the Lord, and he heard me; out of the belly of hell cried I, and thou heardest my voice. For thou hadst cast me into the deep, in the midst of the seas; and the floods compassed me about: all thy billows and thy waves passed over me. Then I said, I am cast out of thy sight; yet I will look again toward thy holy temple. The waters compassed me about, even to the soul: the depth closed me round about, the weeds were wrapped about my head. I went down to the bottoms of the mountains; the earth with her bars was about me for ever: yet hast thou brought up my life from corruption, O Lord my God. When my soul fainted within me I remembered the Lord: and my prayer came in unto thee, into thine holy temple. They that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercy. But I will sacrifice unto thee with the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay that that I have vowed. Salvation is of the Lord. And the Lord spake unto the fish, and it vomited out Jonah upon the dry land.”

Praise ye the Lord!!!

Psalm 5:3

“My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O Lord; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.”

Brothers and Sisters in Christ, do you wake every morning with a pray on your lips? Do wake every morning with the your first desire and thought is of praying to and talking with our Heavenly Father?
O what a joy to wake to these things every morning. O how our very first thoughts and deeds should set the tone for our whole day. As children of God and joint heirs with His Son Jesus Christ, we should wake every morning, ready to talk with our Lord. To listen to that still small voice that directs our day. To thank Him for waking us one more time to go about His work.
O what a joy it is to wake in the morning and to know our Heavenly Father is directing our prayers and thoughts!!!

Praise ye the Lord!!!

Psalm 45

“My heart is inditing a good matter: I speak of the things which I have made touching the king: my tongue is the pen of a ready writer. Thou art fairer than the children of men: grace is poured into thy lips: therefore God hath blessed thee for ever. Gird thy sword upon thy thigh, O most mighty, with thy glory and thy majesty. And in thy majesty ride prosperously because of truth and meekness and righteousness; and thy right hand shall teach thee terrible things. Thine arrows are sharp in the heart of the king's enemies; whereby the people fall under thee. Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: the sceptre of thy kingdom is a right sceptre. Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows. All thy garments smell of myrrh, and aloes, and cassia, out of the ivory palaces, whereby they have made thee glad. Kings' daughters were among thy honourable women: upon thy right hand did stand the queen in gold of Ophir. Hearken, O daughter, and consider, and incline thine ear; forget also thine own people, and thy father's house; So shall the king greatly desire thy beauty: for he is thy Lord; and worship thou him. And the daughter of Tyre shall be there with a gift; even the rich among the people shall intreat thy favour. The king's daughter is all glorious within: her clothing is of wrought gold. She shall be brought unto the king in raiment of needlework: the virgins her companions that follow her shall be brought unto thee. With gladness and rejoicing shall they be brought: they shall enter into the king's palace. Instead of thy fathers shall be thy children, whom thou mayest make princes in all the earth. I will make thy name to be remembered in all generations: therefore shall the people praise thee for ever and ever.”

Numbers 32:23

“But if ye will not do so, behold, ye have sinned against the Lord: and be sure your sin will find you out.”

O child of God are you following our Lord? Are you walking in His commandments? Are you seeking His face constanly?
O how we as sinful men do stray from what our Lord has commanded us to do and to follow. O how we sin against Him!!! And even with all this He still loves us. He still stays with us. He still lovingly chastizes us and brings us back into His fold. Fore He sees all that we do. We can do nothing without our Lord knowing.
Our sins are many. But His grace and mercy are great!!! Best of all His grace and mercy are free to those He loves!!!
And yes, our sin will find us out. No matter how well we think we have covered that sin. No matter how much in secret we thing that sin to be. Our Lord will bring it out. He will receive the glory for all!!!
So child of God, run from your sin. Run to the arms of our Lord. Stay in His Word. Pray to Him without ceasing. Consume yourself with Godly thoughts. Sing unto yourself Spiritual songs and hymns. Give sin no room to grow in you. Praise Him!!!

Praise ye the Lord!!!

Psalm 22

“My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring? O my God, I cry in the day time, but thou hearest not; and in the night season, and am not silent. But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel. Our fathers trusted in thee: they trusted, and thou didst deliver them. They cried unto thee, and were delivered: they trusted in thee, and were not confounded. But I am a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised of the people. All they that see me laugh me to scorn: they shoot out the lip, they shake the head, saying, He trusted on the Lord that he would deliver him: let him deliver him, seeing he delighted in him. But thou art he that took me out of the womb: thou didst make me hope when I was upon my mother's breasts. I was cast upon thee from the womb: thou art my God from my mother's belly. Be not far from me; for trouble is near; for there is none to help. Many bulls have compassed me: strong bulls of Bashan have beset me round. They gaped upon me with their mouths, as a ravening and a roaring lion. I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint: my heart is like wax; it is melted in the midst of my bowels. My strength is dried up like a potsherd; and my tongue cleaveth to my jaws; and thou hast brought me into the dust of death. For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet. I may tell all my bones: they look and stare upon me. They part my garments among them, and cast lots upon my vesture. But be not thou far from me, O Lord: O my strength, haste thee to help me. Deliver my soul from the sword; my darling from the power of the dog. Save me from the lion's mouth: for thou hast heard me from the horns of the unicorns. I will declare thy name unto my brethren: in the midst of the congregation will I praise thee. Ye that fear the Lord, praise him; all ye the seed of Jacob, glorify him; and fear him, all ye the seed of Israel. For he hath not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; neither hath he hid his face from him; but when he cried unto him, he heard. My praise shall be of thee in the great congregation: I will pay my vows before them that fear him. The meek shall eat and be satisfied: they shall praise the Lord that seek him: your heart shall live for ever. All the ends of the world shall remember and turn unto the Lord: and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before thee. For the kingdom is the Lord's: and he is the governor among the nations. All they that be fat upon earth shall eat and worship: all they that go down to the dust shall bow before him: and none can keep alive his own soul. A seed shall serve him; it shall be accounted to the Lord for a generation. They shall come, and shall declare his righteousness unto a people that shall be born, that he hath done this.”

Praise ye the Lord!!!
