Genesis 1:1

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.”

Praise God He is the creator of heaven and earth!!! It is He who created all things in heaven and earth!!!
God's Word makes this claim many times over. We say we have no doubt of God as our creator. Yet we deny His Sovereignty in every aspect of our lives. Even as His very children. The ones He chose before creation to adopt into Himself. As His ministers we preach and teach the Sovereignty of God. As members of His churches we sit and listen to others preach the same and we say we are in agreement with that. But what is our witness? Do we actually practice what we say we believe?
Look at our daily lives. O how wicked and sinful we are!!! We deny God and His Sovereign rein over us daily. Often many times a day. We are constantly trying to do what we cannot do alone. We try and try to force the hand of God to work in our lives the way we want Him to work. We deny His will and His plan.
O but child of God, we serve a wondrous and powerful and loving God. His love for us, even when we are disobedient, is great by far than any love we have ever known. Even in our open rebellion and denial of His dominion over His people, His grace and mercy rules supreme and His love is never failing. And the simple task He has commanded of us to do, we are pitiful failures of . All we have to do is follow Him. Follow His commandments for. Remember, He says they are not grievous, but we make them grievous by not following.
O praise God He is our creator and not we ourselves!!! Praise God for His everlasting love for His children!!! Praise Him!!! Praise Him!!!

Praise ye the Lord!!!

Psalm 56:10

In God will I praise his word: in the Lord will I praise his word.”

I pray as we enter this new week that we will all praise God today for His abundant grace and mercies upon us. I know not all that read this are able to meet with God's people in person this morning. I know some who are able to listen to their pastor or others via the internet. And O what a blessing that is when you are not able to go in person. I hope you all will take time today and every day to read God's Word and to praise Him for all He has done to draw His children out of this world. To make us separate from the world of sin.
O what a love our Lord and Savior has for us!!! O what joy should fill our hearts when we think on these things!!! O child of God, Praise His Word today!!! Praise God He has given us His Word and made us to understand what He wills for us to understand.

Praise ye the Lord!!!

Romans 8:8

So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.”

O how often our fleshly lusts and desires brings us into displeasure with our Heavenly Father. Even as His chosen people, His adopted children we oft times do things in this life that are not pleasing to the one that saved us from death and hell. The one who sent His Son to die in our place as the ultimate sacrifice to save us from a horrible life of sin. Our constant rebellion is a poor witness of who we are and who's we are.
O child of God, follow the Lord in all you do. Leave the sinful lust and desires of this world behind and follow Christ.
Unsaved friend, Understand and know that there is nothing you can do that is good enough to please God. The greatest humanitarian efforts, all the great donations to the poor and needed, all the kind and good deeds you have done to your fellow man is a stench in the nostrils of God. The only real hope you have is to believe on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. If the Holy Spirit is pricking your heart and convicting you of your sins, believe. If all seems lost and your life is in great despair, believe. If death and hell greatly concerns you, believe. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and though shalt be saved!!!

Praise ye the Lord!!!

Romans 9:15-16

For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.”

O how marvelous is the mercy of God!!! What compassion. What love. O what a Savior!!! All this for His glory.
In the verses above, like so many other places in God's Word, God reminds us that our salvation is not of ourselves. And praise God our salvation is not by our works but is by the the faith He has instilled within us for Himself.
O lost soul, through aside your “good works”. Through away your thoughts of self gratification. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ!!! Follow Christ!!!

Praise ye the Lord!!!

1 John 3:14

We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.”

O what glorious love our Heavenly Father has given us for our dear brothers and sisters in Christ. To know that love comes from Him and not ourselves. To know the reason others love us is because God gave them a love for us. Even in all our wickedness and sin God still gives a love to His children for each other. A love unlike any we have ever known. A love that is second to only His own for us.
But O what a scary thought this verse brings out. That if we don't have that love for one another, are we truly His child?
We are commanded by God to love one another. A command that should not be grievous to us. A command that we should be so joyful to follow. And yet in our sin we oft times forget our love for one another and unknowingly cause hurt and pain and mistrust. O what a sad witness of our lord we can be at times. O what a shame to Him who gave His all for us when we deserved death and hell. Yet He still loved us and gave Himself for us. And all He asks is that we follow Him.
Child of God, I encourage you today to follow our Lord's command and love your brothers and sisters in Christ. Show them the love our Lord has given you for them. Let their be no doubt in their minds that you are of the family of God.

Praise ye the Lord!!!

Romans 3:23

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;”

O what wicked and evil and sinful creatures we are! To the unsaved man, sin has no meaning. The law of God means nothing. The unsaved man has no concept of sin or that his sin is what will send him to eternal hell.
But if not for the grace of God there go I!!! O child of God praise ye the Lord for His loving salvation through Jesus Christ!!! Praise ye the Lord for God the Father offering His only begotten Son as the sacrifice for all of our sins!!!
O praise ye the Lord that He has sent His Holy Spirit as our Great Comforter until He comes again!!!
Yet we fall so short of perfection in this life. Even with our salvation, we still sin. We still defy our very Heavenly Father. O what a shame we are. O what a stench we are in His nostrils. But God, in His grace and mercy still loves us. But God, chastises us as a father would his child then draws us to Himself and loves us. O what a love!!! Praise God for His never ending love for us His children!!!

Praise ye the Lord!!!

Romans 3:18

There is no fear of God before their eyes.”

O what a sad state to be in! To have no fear of God. O how wicked one must be to have no fear of their Creator.
We see the unsaved world going about their daily lives as if there is no life after death. We see them lying and cheating and deceiving and living out every imaginable sin known to man. All for “self” with no idea that they are dead in their trespasses and sins. No thought of their torment to come. No thought of having to one day answer to God for their works. O what a sad state to be in!
And yet if not for the grace of God go I!!! O child of God, where is your heart today? Are you following the Lord? Or are you still following after the world? Just because we are saved by God's grace does not mean we are free to roam the world as the world does. No, we are commanded to follow our Lord and Savior!!! We are ordered to march in the army of the Lord!!! We have heard the battle cry and we must go fight the good fight!!!
O child of God cling to our Lord. Follow the ways of Christ and not the ways of the world. Fear God in all things. Respect Him, honor Him and give Him the praise and honor for all things in your life. Though we suffer many trials and tribulations He will carry us through if we will only seek His face and trust in Him alone.
Fear not the world. Fear God only!!! Fore it is God who controls all things. Fore it is only God who truly loves His children.

Praise ye the Lord!!!

Philippians 4:19

But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”

O what a glorious thought!!! To know our God will supply our every need. And He does it according to His riches!!! O the riches of our Heavenly Father!!! His riches are endless. He owns all that He created. So No matter our need. No matter the cost. Our God shall supply.
But we must remember the difference between our wants and our needs. Our wants are our pleasures we want in our lives. Our needs are God's pleasures for what He wants in our lives. Our wants would bring glory to ourselves. Our needs bring glory to God!!!
O child of God, follow His commandments. Pray without ceasing. Love the things God and not the things of the world. Rejoice evermore in what our God supplies us with daily.

Praise ye the Lord!!!

Psalm 37:39

But the salvation of the righteous is of the Lord: he is their strength in the time of trouble.”

O praise the Lord for His strength in the time of trouble!!! O how many times has He come to our rescue when we have fallen flat on our face? How many times has He been there to carry the load when we are burdened with the cares of this life? How often has He been there to comfort us when we grieve?
Why? Why is He there? What have we done to deserve such love? O child of God, His love has nothing to do with what we have done or what we deserve. He tells us He loved us from before the foundations of the earth. All because God, in His infinite grace and mercy chose to love us. All because He loved us!!!
When we are having a bad day, He is there. When we are down trodden with the cares of this life, He is there. When the enemy is attacking and the fiery darts of satan are hurled against us and we are beaten down from the battle, He is there to give us strength to carry on. O what a love our Heavenly Father has for His children!!! O how He, only, deserves our praise and glory!!!
O child of God, look to God when in time of despair. Go to Him and seek His face. Seek time with our Heavenly Father. Praise His name even in time of grief. Praise Him for His grace and mercy. Praise Him for His never ending love for the chiefest of sinners.

Praise ye the Lord!!!

Psalm 34:3

O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together.”

As we enter a new week with the day we meet with God's people to worship Him, let us remember why we are called to worship. Let us remember the sacrifice of our Lord and Savior. For without Him we would be nothing. Let us remember how wicked and down trodden we were before He saved our souls from eternal torments. Let us remember that He loved us from before the foundations of the earth. Even knowing how wicked and evil we would be. He still chose us. O what love!!!
O magnify the Lord!!! Exalt His name together with other saints today!!! Praise Him from whom all blessings flow!!! Praise Him all creatures here below!!! Praise Him!!! Praise Him!!!

Praise ye the Lord!!!

1 Corinthians 3:5-7
Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man? I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.”

Paul makes it clear here and puts things in their proper order. Paul and Apollos were preachers/teachers of the gospel. But, Paul makes it clear here that it was not him nor Apollos who gave the increase of souls to the Lord. No! But, rather Paul says it is God who gives the increase.
Now if we read this in it's context we will see that Paul is referring to the growth of the Lord's churches. So, Paul, being a traveling missionary and the Lord's Apostle to the Gentiles came and preached the gospel and taught new converts the ways of Christ. Then he moved on as the Lord lead. Apollos or men like him(Timothy, Titus, etc.) came behind Paul or Paul would leave them behind when he moved on to teach the new converts in the ways of Christ. But it was God who gave those new converts to the churches. It was God who saved them. It was God that gave them the “want to” or the desire to follow their salvation with scriptural baptism and then membership in the local churches. So it is today. This is still how God works. Nothing has changed with God in this.
However, today we see so many who have this very way of adding to the churches backwards. Even many of the Lord's true churches have fallen into the thought that man must help God by drawing people into the churches by worldly amusements. We see churches forsaking their first love for the lust of the world. All to draw in those who will add to the membership numbers and to the church scoffers with money.
Now there is a fine line here. We are commanded to go out and preach the gospel in our own community first. We are to encourage those in the community to come hear our Pastor preach. But, we must remember it is God who will call His elect to Himself. It is God who will call those elect to join the local church if/when He is ready for them.
Nowhere in God's Word does God tell us to have parties or concerts or sporting events or special services to draw in new members. The drawing of new members is to be left to God. We are commanded to preach the gospel. One is to plant, another is to water, and God will give the increase.
I pray our Lord's churches will get back to following the Lord's Word in this teaching. It is a sad thing to see so many pastors and churches going against the Lord's plan for His people. By following our worldly lust and greed, many have let the world into the Lord's church. And God because of these things God has turned many over to a reprobate mind when it comes to the teachings on the church.

Praise ye the Lord!!!

Romans 1:18-23

18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.”

I would like to encourage and challenge you all you study these verse. To meditate on them for a while this morning. So often we don't take our Lord's Word and His commandments seriously. We go to church on Sunday and/or a mid-week service and how many times is that the only time we open our Bibles for the week or how many times is that the only time we fellowship with God's people during the week?
Study verse 19. “Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath Shewed it unto them.” So these people that Paul is writing about here have been shown the truth of God's Word. They have been shown it by God Himself! Yet they deny His truth anyway! O what a pitiful lot we are!!! Our God has shown us His truth through His Word. Many of us have learned these things since youth. And yet we would rather follow the world than to follow our Heavenly Father. What a sad looking bunch we are!!!
Verse 21 says “Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.” O how we have fallen for this in this generation!!! We want to claim to be children of God but we deny His Sovereignty! We want to claim the name of Christ but we deny His very deity! We want to claim the Holy Spirit but we refuse His guidance!
How can we make these claims when we live in such denial? How can we expect God to show us grace and mercy when we live in such wickedness against Him?
O child of God come out of the World!!! Follow our Lord and Savior!!! Look to Him in all things!!! Be not ashamed to tell others of His gospel!!! Praise Him!!! Praise Him!!!

Praise ye the Lord!!!
