Philippians 4:6
“Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.”
“With thanksgiving let your request be made known unto God.” How often do we pray this way? How often are our prayers more of a self pity party before our Lord with no thought of thankfulness towards the One who has given us breathe every morning and has provided the necessities we require to make it through each day? Maybe this is the reason our nation is in the shape that it is in. God's people have forgotten how to pray.
