Morning Devotional April 10, 2022

Colossians 4:2-6

“2 Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving;

3 Withal praying also for us, that God would open unto us a door of utterance, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in bonds:

4 That I may make it manifest, as I ought to speak.

5 Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time.

6 Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.”

Again this morning we see another of Paul's letters to one of the Lord's churches where he is instructing them on what they are to do with the time the Lord has given them. Lest we forget, the same applies to the Lord's churches today. The “mystery of Christ” Paul writes of here is none other than the Gospel. Remember, the Gospel of Christ is the greatest mystery to the unsaved world. It is only by the wisdom given us by the Holy Spirit of God that we are able to understand and know this mystery.

The Great Commission given to the churches by Jesus was not a suggestion. But rather a command. We are commanded to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all the world.

In the short amount of time we are here in this life we must be about our Father's business. The business of telling everyone we meet about the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Praise ye the Lord!!!
