Praise ye the LORD. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power. Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness. Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp. Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs. Morning Devotional March 7, 2025

John 4:23-24

^“23But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.

²⁴God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.”

Notice the phrase “in spirit and in truth” are mentioned twice in this passage. You cannot worship the Father just in the spirit or just in the truth. The two go hand in hand. For proper worship of our Heavenly Father we must worship in the spirit and the truth. Not one or the other as is commonly seen today. If we worship in the spirit but not in the truth or if we were to worship in the truth but not in the spirit then what glory does our Heavenly Father get from our worship? Our worship of our Heavenly Father must be in spirit and in truth. There is no other acceptable way. He will not accept anything else. It is what He has commanded and if we love Him we will follow His commandments.

By the grace of God I am a Landmark Sovereign Grace Baptist Minister. I was born and raised in Northeast Texas. I lived in Texas until Sept. 2014 when I moved to the Richmond, VA area after accepting a transfer with my secular job. In April 2018 I accepted the call to Pastor King's Addition Baptist Church in South Shore, KY. In October 2018 my wife and I moved to Wheelersburg, OH to be close to the church. In 2013 while I was working with the King's Addition Baptist Mission in Fort Smith, NWT, Canada, I was asked to write daily devotionals for the mission members. As word got out about these devotionals I started receiving request from others who wanted to receive these every day. A very good friend suggested I put these in a blog for others to see. I hope and pray the Lord blesses you with what He has given me to share.
