Morning Devotional November 8, 2025

John 11:1-4

“1Now a certain man was sick, named Lazarus, of Bethany, the town of Mary and her sister Martha.

(It was that Mary which anointed the Lord with ointment, and wiped his feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was sick.)

Therefore his sisters sent unto him, saying, Lord, behold, he whom thou lovest is sick.

When Jesus heard that, he said, This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby.”

Oftentimes we forget the sickness of one of the Lord’s saints can be used by God to glorify Himself. Whether the illness ends in physical death or physical healing, God will be glorified. For in death the dear saint is transformed into permanent healing and transported into life eternal. And if rather physical healing comes, the saint will rejoice in the fact, the healing is not by any work of man alone but by the Grace and Mercy of God.

Praise ye the Lord!!!
