Proverbs 16:4

“The Lord hath made all things for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil.”

For many Christians there is no doubt that the Lord is the creator of all things. We see the proof of this in the first parts of the book of Genesis where God proclaims Himself to be the creator of all of heaven and earth. In the book of John we see in chapter 1 verses 1-5 that the Son was the part of the Holy Trinity that created all things in the beginning.

Proverbs 16:3

“Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established.”

What are our works? Are we serving the Lord or man or ourselves?

Read the Word. Study the Word. Pray without ceasing. Praise His name in word and song. Be not ashamed for others to hear your words and to see your works. Do all things unto the Lord.

Playing to man's fancies will only lead to disappoinment. Self satisfaction will lead to sin. But the serving our Lord unselfishly is the beginning of true peace.

Psalm 100:2

“Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing.”

Jeremiah 17:7

“Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is.”

Do you trust in the Lord? Is He your hope? For without that trust in Him we have no hope. What a blessing it is to know He put that trust and hope in us when we had no trust or hope.

Praise ye the Lord!!!

Psalm 3:8

“Salvation belongeth unto the Lord: thy blessing is upon thy people.”

Praise the Lord for His salvation! This should be our number one praise every morning and our last praise every evening. Without His salvation we have nothing!

To know that we have been saved from eternal hell and damnation. To know we are His people because of His chosing and salvation. To know that, as His children, we are prescious in His sight.

Oh what a glorious thought to know with out a doubt we are His and He is ours!

Praise ye the Lord!!!

Psalm 106:1

“Praise ye the Lord. O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.”

Praise ye the Lord for His goodness and mercy!!! Praise Him and thank Him continually!
We have so much to praise and thank our Lord for. Just the fact that His love is for ever is enough to glory in His name continually.
As His children and joint heirs with His only begotten Son Jesus Christ we should be on our knees before Him in prayer and praise throughout the whole day.
What a glorious thought to know that we are His forever and forever!!!

Praise ye the Lord!!!

Morning Devotional January 20, 2015

Romans 8:38-39

“For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Praise the Lord for His unsepartable love for us! Oh that we would have this love for one another. Oh that we, as God's children, would learn from the love that our Heavenly Father has for us. So that we would show a simular love to our brothers and sisters in Christ. Our love for each other should be an earthly example of our Heavenly Father's love for us.
So many times we fail inthis love for others. So many times we refuse to forgive others as He has forgiven us.
We should remember our brothers and sisters in our prayers. They need it just as much as we do.
Count it an honor to be able to pray for others. It is our duty as family to bring our siblings before the throne of grace.

Praise ye the Lord!!!

Morning Devotional January 19, 2015

Romans 8:35

“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?”

What or who can separate us from our Savior's love? Nothing nor nobody!!! Praise the Lord!!! for this truth! Ther is nothing anyone can do to us. There is nothing we can do ourselves that can take us from the love of Jesus Christ! Forever and forever.
Though this world with it's tribulations and persecutions distress us daily. Though we may be physically starved and without clothing or a roof over our heads. Though we may meet death by peril or by sword. His love is always with us. Never faultering. Never failing. Never abandoning us.
The love that Christ has bestowed upon us is eternal. It is everlasting. It is forevermore.
Though we sin against Him on a daily basis. His love for us continues.
Though we try to run towards perils. Though we deny His very presence at times. He is there. Everready to prove His love for us. Never leaving us alone. Praise God He never leaves us alone!!!

Praise ye the Lord!!!
