I Thessalonians 5:17

“Pray without ceasing.”

Prayer. What a wonderful thing our Heavenly Father has given us. In many places in the scripture we are told to pray. Not just for the good or just for the bad. But for everything give thanks, He says. What a joy to know we can go to our Father anytime day or night. We can stay in continual prayer with Him all through out the day and night. When we are weak or when we are strong. We know we can go to Him for help, comfort, advice, guidance, to praise Him, to give thanks, to ask for forgiveness, etc. There are so many different things we can pray for. So many ways we can pray.

Oh what a comfort to be able to go to our Heavenly Father in prayer and know that He listens and cares about what we pray. Oh what a blessing when we don't know the words to say and we ask for those words and He gives them. He knows our desires our wants and our needs.

He answers those prayers according to His will and His plan and whatever the answer He will get the glory.

If you are a child of God I encourage you to pray with out ceasing. When you are going through a trial; pray without ceasing. When you are struggling with sin in your life; pray without ceasing. When you are having a time of prosperity; pray without ceasing. When you are full of joy and the Lord has bestowed many blessings on you; pray without ceasing.

Praise ye the Lord!!!

Ephesians 4:30-32

“And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.”

Romans 8:28

“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”

What a glorious thought, to know that all things work together for good to them that love God!!! What a wonderful God we serve. What a gracious and merciful Heavenly Father we have. He tells us that no matter what it is in our life. What we think is good or bad. It is His working to our good.
Why? Because we love Him. But notice He says “to them who are the called according to his purpose.” So even though He works all things to our good, He loved us first. He loved us enough to call us to Him and to adopt us into His family. We did not initiate this love. He did. And it was all according to His purpose. All so He could get the glory and the praise for it all.
Praise God He called us. Praise God He chose us. Praise God He did not leave us to our own devises. What a sad shape we would be in if He had not called us.

Praise ye the Lord!!!

John 10:10

“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”

Praise God for His protection from our enemy the devil!!!

Satan comes as a thief. Sneaking around to see what is the easiest way to disrupt our lives and to try and destroy our witness for our Lord. He attacks our marriages, our homes, our children, and anything else we hold dear. He puts husband against wife and wife against husband. Father and/or mother against children and children against father and/or mother. So many homes have been destroyed and so many lives have been disrupted because of our advisory.

But, praise God we have the Great Protector our Heavenly Father looking out for use. It is He who we must turn to for guidance and for help in those times when Ole Slew-foot comes to steal and to kill and to destroy.

If the satan has you under attack today go to the Lord for your protection. Seek His help in the battle against the spiritual realm. This is not a battle we can fight alone. Only through Jesus Christ can and will we be able to win this battle. Also remember when that victory comes it is not our victory to glory in, but our Lord's victory that He deserves all the glory!!! For without Him we would be left on the battle field with the dead and dying.

Praise ye the Lord!!!

Psalm 5

“Give ear to my words, O Lord, consider my meditation. Hearken unto the voice of my cry, my King, and my God: for unto thee will I pray. My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O Lord; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up. For thou art not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness: neither shall evil dwell with thee. The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity. Thou shalt destroy them that speak leasing: the Lord will abhor the bloody and deceitful man. But as for me, I will come into thy house in the multitude of thy mercy: and in thy fear will I worship toward thy holy temple. Lead me, O Lord, in thy righteousness because of mine enemies; make thy way straight before my face. For there is no faithfulness in their mouth; their inward part is very wickedness; their throat is an open sepulchre; they flatter with their tongue. Destroy thou them, O God; let them fall by their own counsels; cast them out in the multitude of their transgressions; for they have rebelled against thee. But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee. For thou, Lord, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.”

Isaiah 41:10

“Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.”

Praise the Lord!!! We have no reason to fear anything or anybody. We have a Heavenly Father who protects us and guides us as we travel through this old wicked world. Though the enemy be encamped all around us we have no need to fear. Though we feel we are under attack, daily, by satan and his army we have no need to fear. Though we become weak and worn from fighting the battle He gives us strength to continue on. And when we stumble He lifts us to our feet and brushes us off so we can get back in the fight.

Our life here on this earth is a constant struggle. The enemy is constantly trying to get to God's children and cause us to ruin there witness for our Lord. At times it seems that the legions of darkness are about to over take us. But our God is merciful and gracious to those who love Him, to those who follow His commandments.

Though we feel that our lives may be slipping away in darkness at times, our Heavenly Father brings the light and it illuminates our whole surroundings. It blinds the enemy and with Him in the lead we are able to over come and win the battle. All to His glory!!! Glory and praise to our Lord!!!

Psalm 27

“The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell. Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident. One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to enquire in his temple. For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock. And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me: therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the Lord. Hear, O Lord, when I cry with my voice: have mercy also upon me, and answer me. When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, Lord, will I seek. Hide not thy face far from me; put not thy servant away in anger: thou hast been my help; leave me not, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation. When my father and my mother forsake me, then the Lord will take me up. Teach me thy way, O Lord, and lead me in a plain path, because of mine enemies. Deliver me not over unto the will of mine enemies: for false witnesses are risen up against me, and such as breathe out cruelty. I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.”

Psalm 73

“Truly God is good to Israel, even to such as are of a clean heart. But as for me, my feet were almost gone; my steps had well nigh slipped. For I was envious at the foolish, when I saw the prosperity of the wicked. For there are no bands in their death: but their strength is firm. They are not in trouble as other men; neither are they plagued like other men. Therefore pride compasseth them about as a chain; violence covereth them as a garment. Their eyes stand out with fatness: they have more than heart could wish. They are corrupt, and speak wickedly concerning oppression: they speak loftily. They set their mouth against the heavens, and their tongue walketh through the earth. Therefore his people return hither: and waters of a full cup are wrung out to them. And they say, How doth God know? and is there knowledge in the most High? Behold, these are the ungodly, who prosper in the world; they increase in riches. Verily I have cleansed my heart in vain, and washed my hands in innocency. For all the day long have I been plagued, and chastened every morning. If I say, I will speak thus; behold, I should offend against the generation of thy children. When I thought to know this, it was too painful for me; Until I went into the sanctuary of God; then understood I their end. Surely thou didst set them in slippery places: thou castedst them down into destruction. How are they brought into desolation, as in a moment! they are utterly consumed with terrors. As a dream when one awaketh; so, O Lord, when thou awakest, thou shalt despise their image. Thus my heart was grieved, and I was pricked in my reins. So foolish was I, and ignorant: I was as a beast before thee. Nevertheless I am continually with thee: thou hast holden me by my right hand. Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory. Whom have I in heaven but thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee. My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever. For, lo, they that are far from thee shall perish: thou hast destroyed all them that go a whoring from thee. But it is good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord God, that I may declare all thy works.”

Psalm 13

“How long wilt thou forget me, O Lord? for ever? how long wilt thou hide thy face from me? How long shall I take counsel in my soul, having sorrow in my heart daily? how long shall mine enemy be exalted over me? Consider and hear me, O Lord my God: lighten mine eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death; Lest mine enemy say, I have prevailed against him; and those that trouble me rejoice when I am moved. But I have trusted in thy mercy; my heart shall rejoice in thy salvation. I will sing unto the Lord, because he hath dealt bountifully with me.”

I Corinthians 2:9

“But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.”

Praise God for His grace and mercy on us. What love our Father has bestowed upon us. And all He ask is that we love Him. For those who love Him, what blessings He has prepared for us. Our finite, puny little minds can not even fathom the degree of blessings He has for us.

Why? All because He loves us!!!

My prayer this morning is that we all would show our love to our Heavenly Father. Show that love by following His commandments for us. Let the world see our love for Him by our works and not just our words.

If there are any who are reading this and you are not saved. I encourage you. Believe on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and thou wilt be saved. Reply back to this email and we can talk about these thinks.

Praise ye the Lord!!!
