Morning Devotional January 11, 2016

1 Corinthians 15:1-4
“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:”

Many times we forget why and how we are who we are. Paul told us we need to remember the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Though we teach and preach the whole counsel of God we still need to be reminded of our salvation and of the one who gave the ultimate sacrifice so that His chosen people could have eternal life. We must not forget the One who bled and died and rose again so that we could have peace and joy in this life even when we face great trials. O brothers and sisters how ashamed we should be for not being more faithful in following the examples our Lord gave while He walked this earth. O how ashamed we should be for failing to follow His commandments for our lives. So many times we have taken the Gospel of Christ for granted. So many times we forget how without that Gospel we would be on our way to hell and eternal death to God.
I encourage you all to remember the Gospel of Christ. Study the Words of our Lord pertaining to Himself and His love for His people. Forget not the Gospel of Christ. Forget not to proclaim it to those around us. Proclaim it to a lost and dying world.

Praise ye the Lord!!!
