II Corinthians 5:17
“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”
O dear Christian, are you still living to please this world? Are you following after the lust of your flesh? What then of your new birth in Christ?
Paul tells us in this verse that if we are in Christ we are new creatures. Our old life is dead. We live alive in Christ. Our old life has no power over us. The power of the love of God now rules our lives and not the power of sin. Though we still sin. That sin has no power over us as it once did. Yet we chase after that sin. What a shame!!! What blasphemy it is that we would deny our Lord and Savior and follow after our former life.
Remember we are new creatures in Christ and because of Christ. Follow Him!!! Leave the lust of this world to this world. Follow Christ!!! Let those around us know, without a doubt, who we are and whose we are. We are the children of God!!! No longer are we the children of darkness. But Children of the Light!!!
