Psalm 19:7-11
“The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul: the
testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple. The statutes of the Lord
are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the Lord is pure,
enlightening the eyes. The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring for ever: the
judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether. More to be desired are
they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the
honeycomb. Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there
is great reward.”
O what a disservice we do ourselves when we fail to study
God's Word! The very Word that our Lord used to show us His glorious Gospel!!!
His Word that He has used to show us His love for His children. His Word that
He has used to teach us all the blessed commandments He expects us to follow
that will bring glory and honor to Him alone!!!
O what love we read of in His Word!!! O the joy of knowing
our Heavenly Father cares for us above all His creation!!! O the blessing of
knowing what He expects from us as His children!!!
And then there are the blessings and promise of blessings He
shows us He has for us if we will follow Him. If we are a part of the Bride of
Christ, what a special love He has for us. An even sweeter promise He has for
His bride.
No other book ever written holds such treasures. No other
book can explain in such detail the love of our Lord and Savior has for us a
sinful and wretched people. It is without doubt “Sweeter also than honey and
the honeycomb.”
Praise ye the Lord!!!
