Morning Devotional August 26, 2018

Hebrews 4:16
“Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.”

Pray without ceasing. Pray for one another. What a glorious thought to know we can go before our Heavenly Father with our petitions and He will hear us.
What a blessing to know others pray for us. We should consider it a blessing when others trust us enough to ask us to pray for them.
Pray without ceasing!!!

Praise ye the Lord!!!

Morning Devotional August 25, 2018

1 Corinthians 2:12-13
“12Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
13Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.”

Which spirit are you following today? The spirit of death and destruction? Or the Spirit of God who gives eternal life? Maybe a better question is; which spirit have you received?
Are you a child of God? If not has He sent His Holy Spirit to convict you of your sin? Is He causing you grief and pain today over your wasted life? Believe on the name of Jesus be saved!!! Then repent of your sins and follow Him!!!
Child of God, who do you follow? If you have received the Spirit of God why do you chase after the spirit of a lost and dying world? Is not your hope in the promises made by our Heavenly Father? Or has the world promised something better? That's not even possible, think about it. Follow Christ. Seek His face in all you do. Rejoice in the fact that He has called you and saved you for His own purpose and because He loved you so.
Are you going through tough times? Has the things of this life got you down? Remember, as one of His you have the Great Comforter. The Holy Spirit of God. Jesus Christ Himself. It is through Him we have total access to God the Father. Oh what a glorious thought!!! To know we are so loved by our Heavenly Father that He has made a way for us to come to Him with our every need!!!
Flee the spirit of this world and follow Christ!!! Lean on the Holy Spirit for comfort. Seek our Heavenly Father for your every need. Remember who you are and whose you are. As a child of God you are His for all eternity!!! Praise Him and glorify His name in all you do!!!

Praise ye the Lord!!!

Morning Devotional August 21, 2018

2 Corinthians 1:3-7
“3 Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort;
4 Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.
5 For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ.
6 And whether we be afflicted, it is for your consolation and salvation, which is effectual in the enduring of the same sufferings which we also suffer: or whether we be comforted, it is for your consolation and salvation.
7 And our hope of you is stedfast, knowing, that as ye are partakers of the sufferings, so shall ye be also of the consolation.”

Praise ye the Lord!!!

Morning Devotional August 15, 2018

Deuteronomy 31:8
“And the Lord, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.”

O what a promise our Lord has given us if we will follow Him!!! He promises to always be with us and to never leave us. He promises to give us no cause to fear who and what is around us. Yet, as sinful, rebellious men we constantly run from our Lord and forget He is our Great Comforter in this life. We stray and wander and fear our surroundings. But God, is still there with us. As He promised. He says He will never leave us nor forsake us.
At times it takes His chastisement to straighten us out. But with is mercy and love He spares not the rod of correction. All for His glory and our good.
Follow Christ today. Leave behind the lust of the flesh and the desires of this world and follow Christ. Rejoice in His promises.

Praise ye the Lord!!!

John 14:27
“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”

O what joy to know the peace our Lord has given to us His children. Follow not after the world today. Follow Christ and only Him. Seek His guidance in all you do. Follow His lead and stray not. Leave the cares of this world at the feet of the Lord. Remember who you are and whose you are. Because we are His we have no need to fear anything or anyone. Only fear Him in the love He has given us for Him.
Seek Christ then follow Him.

Praise ye the Lord!!!

Micah 7:7
“Therefore I will look unto the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me.”

Praise God He is merciful and hears our pleas and our praises!!! He has promises to His people that show the grace He has bestowed upon us. Though we are wretched and worn our God loves to show us mercy.
Brothers and sisters, look to the Lord today. Wait for His orders for our next move in the battle. Lay all your cares at His feet. Praise Him for all things. Follow His commandments and He will show us mercy. Praise God our Lord hears us!!!
Even in our darkest hour. Even in the strongest of trials. Our Lord will hear us and give us comfort when needed and blessings when it is His time.

Psalm 27:14
“Wait on the Lord; be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.”

Psalm 92:1-5
"It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord, and to sing praises unto thy name, O Most High: To shew forth thy lovingkindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night, Upon an instrument of ten strings, and upon the psaltery; upon the harp with a solemn sound. For thou, Lord, hast made me glad through thy work: I will triumph in the works of thy hands. O Lord, how great are thy works! and thy thoughts are very deep."

Morning Devotional August 4, 2018

John 3:1-21
"3 There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:
2 The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.
3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?
5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.
9 Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be?
10 Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things?
11 Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness.
12 If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?
13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.
14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God."

Praise the Lord!!!

Psalm 52:7-9
“Lo, this is the man that made not God his strength; but trusted in the abundance of his riches, and strengthened himself in his wickedness. But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God: I trust in the mercy of God for ever and ever. I will praise thee for ever, because thou hast done it: and I will wait on thy name; for it is good before thy saints.”

Where is thy faith and trust today?
