Mark 11:22-24
“22 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.
23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.”

1 Timothy 3:14-16
“14 These things write I unto thee, hoping to come unto thee shortly:
15 But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.
16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.”

Hebrews 12:1-4
“12 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
3 For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.
4 Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin.”

Romans 8:24-25

2 Corinthians 5:17-21
“17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.
21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.”

1 John 2:15-17
“15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.”

This weekend the religious world celebrates their most holiest of holidays. The doctrines of devils proclaimed as truth by Roman Catholicism and her followers has permeated everything around us. To see the very story of our Lord's death, burial, and resurrection polluted with tall tales of Easter bunnies and Easter eggs and the images of a man hanging on a cross should, not only sadden but should also anger those true believers that our Lord would be so blasphemed.
As Baptist, we believe the Holy Scriptures to proclaim that all those true and faithful members of the Lord's churches are what makes up His Bride. So what fellowship should we have with the unbelieving world? Why would we participate in pagan rituals that have been “Christianized” by the great whore of Rome? We hear some say “Well, it is all for the children.” Is it? Why would God's people tell a lie to the children He has entrusted us to raise up in the admiration of the Lord? Why is it that many will give more heed to Easter bunnies and egg hunts this weekend than to the Gospel of our Lord and Savior? If it is truly for the children then why do many deny them the teaching of the Gospel but have no problem with the teachings of the lust of the world?
To see a group who claims to be one of the Lord's churches hold the pagan ritual of an Easter egg hunt on the same ground they proclaim to worship our Lord and Savior is pure blasphemy in the eyes of our Heavenly Father!!!
All Baptist churches I know make the claim that they are “Proclaiming the truth.” Then why when it comes holiday time do you deny the truth? Why do you side with the world and the world's religion instead of standing on the truths of God's Word? When you put “Proclaiming the truth” as a motto for your church maybe you should put in parenthesis next to it (except at holiday time).
Come ye out of the world!!! If you love Christ then follow His commandments. If you love Christ honor Him not the whore in Rome.

1 Peter 5:6-9

“6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:

7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

9 Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.”

Isaiah 45:7-12
“7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the Lord do all these things.
8 Drop down, ye heavens, from above, and let the skies pour down righteousness: let the earth open, and let them bring forth salvation, and let righteousness spring up together; I the Lord have created it.
9 Woe unto him that striveth with his Maker! Let the potsherd strive with the potsherds of the earth. Shall the clay say to him that fashioneth it, What makest thou? or thy work, He hath no hands?
10 Woe unto him that saith unto his father, What begettest thou? or to the woman, What hast thou brought forth?
11 Thus saith the Lord, the Holy One of Israel, and his Maker, Ask me of things to come concerning my sons, and concerning the work of my hands command ye me.
12 I have made the earth, and created man upon it: I, even my hands, have stretched out the heavens, and all their host have I commanded.”

Though this was written to Israel, is it not a fine example to us today? Especially when, as verse 9 says, we striveth with our Maker. Woe unto us when our faith falters and we question the will and providence of our Heavenly Father. We must remember He is our Creator and not we ourselves. He does as He pleases. Not according to our will but His will. Fore we are only clay and He is the Potter. Praise God He is in control of all things!!! No matter how great or small. No matter the situation our God works all things to His glory and our good.

Matthew 7:3-5
“3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?
5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.”

Proverbs 30:5-6
“5 Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.
6 Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.”

Notice God said “Every word of God is pure:”. Not just the ones we like. But “EVERY WORD OF GOD”!!! So why does man seek so diligently to change God's Word to fit his own thoughts and his own ways? The answer is SIN! Man is so depraved and so self-centered he thinks he knows better than his own Creator.
The words of a godly man can be a help at times in our studies but the words of a foolish, self-righteous man aren't worth the paper they are written on. If a man's writings do not glorify God and do not go along with what God has said in His Word then we are wasting precious time reading such.
Remember, Jesus and His Apostles and other men in the New Testament quoted and preached and expounded from the Old Testament. But they never strayed from the true meaning of God's Word.
As our text says: “Every word of God is pure”. Verse 6 tells us there are grave consequences if we don't. Do we heed the warning or do we go our own way? Remember, Jesus said “If you love me follow my commandments.”
Follow Christ. Even when it is not popular. Even if it means loosing friends. Fore we have a friend who is closer than a brother in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!!!

2 Corinthians 4:16-18
“16 For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.
17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;
18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.”

Acts 26:14-18
“14 And when we were all fallen to the earth, I heard a voice speaking unto me, and saying in the Hebrew tongue, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.
15 And I said, Who art thou, Lord? And he said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest.
16 But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee;
17 Delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee,
18 To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.”
