Ephesians 4:7-10
“7 But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.
8 Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.
9 (Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth?
10 He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.)”
Jesus told the thief on the cross next to Him they would meet again that very day in Paradise. Yet it is written in the Roman Catholic document known as “The Apostle’s Creed” that Jesus went to Hell before He was raised from the dead. The words Paradise and Hell have opposite meanings. One is a place of rest and tranquility while the other is a place of grief and torments. No verse or passage in the Word of God says anything about Jesus visiting Hell before His death or afterwards. But we are told Jesus went to Paradise. Yes, He did suffer more than any man while hanging on that cross. The torments and the suffering, however, ended when He gave up the ghost.
There are so many false doctrines out there concerning the death, burial, and resurrection of our Lord and Savior. Yet God’s Word is clear and contains the truth on all these doctrines of devils. In these last days we must be as the Bereans and study daily the things we hear preached.
Praise ye the Lord!!!
