Psalm 119:27
“Make me to understand the way of thy precepts: so shall I talk of thy wondrous works.”
Praise ye the Lord!!!
Hebrews 4:12-14
“12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
13 Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.
14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.”
Praise ye the Lord!!!
John 7:16-18
“16 Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me.
17 If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.
18 He that speaketh of himself seeketh his own glory: but he that seeketh his glory that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him.”
Where do we get the doctrines we profess to belief and/or to teach? If they are not from our Heavenly Father, if they are based on our thoughts and feelings they are as nothing as far as God is concerned. So much of what we hear preached today in the religious world are only the thoughts and feelings of sinful men. Yet, we are commanded by God to follow His teachings and not our own. We ought to compare scripture with scripture and not scripture with the writings of man.
Praise ye the Lord!!!
Galatians 5:1
“Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.”
We have heard much of Liberty in our nation for a time and we as God's children should be thankful to our Heavenly Father for placing us in a nation where we have been able to enjoy many freedoms and liberties that no other place on other has. Yet we have squandered the liberties our Creator has bestowed upon us. Liberties our founding fathers prayed over and sought God's guidance on how to implement the laws that would protect those liberties. We are now seeing the fears of our founders coming to light.
George Washington said it best “It is impossible to rightly govern a nation without God and the Bible.” What we are seeing today in our nation is exactly what President Washington said. Without God and the Bible it is impossible to rightly govern a nation. This has been proven in what we see going on around us today. A godless generation, one void of any knowledge of the Bible. A generation whose greatest accomplishments so far have been to destroy monuments to our Godly founders and attempting to demonize our history in hopes of erasing any memory of God and His Bible from our nation.
In crying out for freedom they seek after a yoke of bondage instead of the Liberty that can only be found in Jesus Christ. Remove God and the Bible from this nation and we are no different than any of the false god following nations around the world. The peace and prosperity we have enjoyed for so long will be gone. The liberties and freedoms or fore fathers suffered and fought and died for will be gone.
As we look around us today many will ask; “What has happened to this once great nation?” We, as God's children followed after the lust of the flesh and the pride of life and stood by and watched as the heathen removed God and the Bible from our nation.
Praise ye the Lord!!!
2 Corinthians 3:17
“Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.”
The word “Liberty” has been used to describe the freedoms our forefathers fought and died for against the British in the first war of Revolution in which our nation was founded. There can be no doubts that those very men looked to God's Word for guidance in creating the Declaration of Independence and our Constitution. The Liberties and the Freedoms and the Rights that are mentioned in all of our founding documents declare them as gifts from our Creator. These men knew and understood the importance of creating a nation whose foundation must be built on the principles and laws of the Almighty God as laid out in His Bible. It is undeniably evident that the Spirit of the Lord had a great hand in these things.
Fast forward 244 years. What we see going on in our nation today is a great falling away from the Spirit of the Lord. That once great fighting spirit for the ideals of Liberty that once beat within the hearts of the citizens of this once great nation is dwindling away. The very foundation of our country is under attack by a people who have no knowledge of God and His Word in them. Several generations have been brought up in a godless society and are now demanding any resemblance of Godliness be destroyed and forgotten. From the abolition of our laws to the tearing down of our monuments to our godly forefathers.
As the descendants of our founders stand quietly by and watch our nation crumble before them and as they wonder what has happened in such a short time to the nation whose claim once was “One Nation Under God” a group of godless thugs begin to dismantle our very way of life. But is this all unknown to God? Some may ask “Where is God in all this?” God is right where He has always been. He is not the one who has moved. In all reality it has been the lack of godliness and the following of the world by God's own people that has brought chastisement and judgment upon our nation. When we refuse to follow the Holy Spirit in our lives the Lord can remove the Liberties we have enjoyed for so long.
Praise ye the Lord!!!
2 Corinthians 9:6-15
6 But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.
7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.
8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:
9 (As it is written, He hath dispersed abroad; he hath given to the poor: his righteousness remaineth for ever.
10 Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;)
11 Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God.
12 For the administration of this service not only supplieth the want of the saints, but is abundant also by many thanksgivings unto God;
13 Whiles by the experiment of this ministration they glorify God for your professed subjection unto the gospel of Christ, and for your liberal distribution unto them, and unto all men;
14 And by their prayer for you, which long after you for the exceeding grace of God in you.
15 Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift.”
Praise ye the Lord!!!
Matthew 6:5-15
“5 And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.
8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.
9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:
15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.”
How is your prayer life today?
Praise ye the Lord!!!
