Psalm 100
“Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands. Serve the
Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing. Know ye that the
Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his
people, and the sheep of his pasture. Enter into his gates with thanksgiving,
and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. For
the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all
generations.”
As we enter into the time our national forefathers set aside
as a time of thanksgiving to God for all His blessings on us as a nation let
us, as God's people not forget we are commanded to “be thankful unto him, and
bless his name.” Let us also remember this commandment knows nothing of time.
We are to be thankful and bless His name continually. Pray without ceasing is
the command our Lord gives us.
As we show the rest of our nation and the world our
reverence and thankfulness to our Heavenly Father this week let us also
remember the freedom our God has given us to observe a day of Thanksgiving to
Him and for His mercies on us that we are still permitted to come together and
worship our Sovereign Creator.
Praise ye the Lord!!!
