1 Thessalonians 5:18
“In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in
Christ Jesus concerning you.”
“In everything give thanks”, not just the good but the bad
also. God said “everything”. God's will for us is that everything, good or bad,
is to His glory and our good.
How often we grumble and complain because of the trials and
troubles we suffer through but are not these also promised from God to
strengthen our faith in Him and to teach us patience?
As we enter into the season that our nation used to observe
as a time to give thanks to God, let us as His children remind those around us
the true reason for the day of Thanksgiving that our founding fathers set aside
as a nation, a day, to remember the blessings and the lessons we have learned
this past year.
Let us not forget to whom all thanks and praise is to be
given. Not just for one day but everyday He gives us breathe.
Praise ye the Lord!!!
