Morning Devotional May 31, 2021

2 Timothy 2:3-5

“3 Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.

4 No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.

5 And if a man also strive for masteries, yet is he not crowned, except he strive lawfully.”

Are you fighting the good fight of the faith or have you capitulated to the enemy? When the battle gets long and hard to whom do you turn? Do you turn to the Lord for strength or do you lay down your sword in surrender to the enemy? Even in death there is no surrender for the warrior of God.

As we remember our fallen heroes today, let us not forget those who fought with Godly fortitude and faith on the battlefield in this life.

In the spiritual warfare taking place in our world today, we are seeing the memorials dedicated to those who lived their lives for the Lord under attack and being destroyed because of the Godly examples they were. As our society produces false narratives of those who lived by faith in God, God knows the truth, and God will vindicate in His time.

Praise ye the Lord!!!
