Colossians 3:1-4
“If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those
things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your
affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and
your life is hid with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, shall
appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.”
Praise the Lord we have a Savior!!! Praise
the Lord our Savior has saved us from our sins!!! Praise the Lord He has made
us dead to this world!!!
As children of God we are to distance
ourselves from this old sinful world. We are commanded to seek those things
which are above and not the things of this world. Yet so many times we fail and
fall flat on our face in this. We let the world around us come into our life
and all but consume us. But we serve a merciful and gracious God!!! He walks
with us through the life with us. If we will just turn to Him in time of
temptation.
When the Lord saves us He makes us new
creatures. We are born again to a new life. Our life is to be in Christ.
Oh child of God are you living in and for
Christ today? Are you truly free from the temptations of life in this world?
Are you praising God, our Heavenly Father, for everything He has done or is
doing to use you to bless others?
Child of God, put off the old man. Life for
Christ and yourself. Humble yourself before the Lord. Give no heed to the sins
of this life. Understand that in Christ Jesus, we have all we need. Nothing
this world offers is for us. Follow the Lord, the Savior of your soul. The
Giver of eternal life. Praise the Lord!!!
Are you not a child of God? Are you having
doubts of where you will go if the moment came for you to enter the next life?
Are you seeking peace and joy in your life? Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ
and be saved!!! All have come short of the glory of God.
A sinners prayer will not save you. Going
down an isle and praying at an “Old Fashioned” alter will not give you eternal
life.
Ephesians 2: 8-10
“For by grace are ye saved through faith;
and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man
should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good
works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.”
Acts 16:25-34
“And at midnight
Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them. And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the
foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were
opened, and every one's bands were loosed. And the
keeper of the prison awaking out of his sleep, and seeing the prison doors
open, he drew out his sword, and would have killed himself, supposing that the
prisoners had been fled. But Paul cried with a loud
voice, saying, Do thyself no harm: for we are all here.
Then he called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down
before Paul and Silas, And brought them out, and said,
Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said,
Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. And they spake unto him the word of the Lord, and to all
that were in his house. And he took them the same hour
of the night, and washed their stripes; and was baptized, he and all his,
straightway. And when he had brought them into his
house, he set meat before them, and rejoiced, believing in God with all his
house.”
Praise ye the Lord!!!
