Colossians 3:5-11
“Mortify therefore your members which are
upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil
concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: For which things' sake the
wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience: In the which ye also
walked some time, when ye lived in them. But now ye also put off all these;
anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth. Lie
not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds; And have put on the new man, which is renewed in
knowledge after the image of him that created him:
Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision,
Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.”
Oh what a gracious and merciful God we
serve!!! What a shame on us for following after these many sins listed here. We
have been saved by the blood of Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God! As
the children of God we have no right to the sins of this world. Our affections
are to be on things above not on things here on this old wicked earth. Yet
everyday we fall into some sin of some kind. God tells us to put off these
things. Cleave to our Heavenly Father. Cry out for His help during hard times.
Praise His name during good and bad times. He is faithful and just to be there
for His children. Seek His face while going through trials. He will be there.
He never leaves us.
Praise ye the Lord!!!
