Morning Devotional July 30, 2017

John 6:35-40

35And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.
36But I said unto you, That ye also have seen me, and believe not.
37All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.
38For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.
39And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.
40And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.”


O praise God our salvation is in His hands and not ours!!! Praise Him for His electing grace and mercy!!! Praise the Lord He is in control of all things and all things are for His honor and glory!!!
What a pitiful shape we would be in if things were like what the “free will” preacher teaches. What a ridiculous teaching to believe that man can have any part at all in his salvation. What blasphemy for any man to think he can control God and change God's mind. What foolishness the false doctrine of “free will” is.
Yet many a highly educated theologian have fallen for this most idiotic belief. Many a simple minded child of God who has rebelled against the teachings of God's Word and followed after the teachings of the devil himself. O what a shame we are! Even those of us who preach and teach and believe whole heartedly the doctrine of God's Sovereign Grace fall into the trap of thinking we can possibly do anything at all on our own will and power!
But God, reminds us over and over in His Word and even in our everyday lives that all power and all glory belong to Him and are from Him and are for His honor and glory. O how stubborn we are to even thing that the Creator of all things does not have total control of our very being and existence. Yet, with all our rebellion our Heavenly Father still loves us. He loves us enough to forgive our sinful ways and our denial of His Sovereignty and brings us back to Himself as a earthly father would his child.
O the love He has bestowed upon us!!! O what compassion and mercy!!! O how we deserve much less than what He gives. O child of God, follow the ways of our Lord. Leave the lust of this world. The lust of self. The lust of the pride of life. Stay in God's Word. Pray without ceasing!!!

Morning Devotional July 29, 2017

John 5:39-47

39Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.
40And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.
41I receive not honour from men.
42But I know you, that ye have not the love of God in you.
43I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.
44How can ye believe, which receive honour one of another, and seek not the honour that cometh from God only?
45Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father: there is one that accuseth you, even Moses, in whom ye trust.
46For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me; for he wrote of me.
47But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?”


The Jews in Christ's day claimed to be followers of Moses and the Law. But Christ proved over and over that they did not believe the Moses and the Law as they claimed. Therefore they would not believe the words of the Son of God.
We see the same in our day. Many claim the name of Christ but refuse to follow His Word and His commandments. Many claim to be part of the church but refuse to partake in the worship, fellowship and communion of the very church they claim to be a member of.
Yet there are many out there who would love to be apart of a true church but have no way to go or live to far away. And there are those next door to the church building that can't wake up early enough to go. What a shame!!!

Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression. Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.”



O how we ought to ask our Heavenly Father this every morning!!!

Psalm 51:2

Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.”



O how this ought to be our prayer!!! While we live in this old sinful world we are tempted and deceived to sin by the enemy. Many times we fall into the lust of the flesh we once pledged to leave behind. Yet, in this old sinful shell of a body we live in we often give in to that which is not convenient. We often fall into the snares of the devil. Turning us from our first love. Taking us away,even if just for a short time, from following our Lord.
But, praise God, He loves us and chastises us and brings us back unto Himself!!! O what love our Heavenly Father has for us!!! Even when we rebel and try to distance our-self from Him, He loves us!!!

Morning Devotional July 16, 2017

Jeremiah 1:14-16

Then the Lord said unto me, Out of the north an evil shall break forth upon all the inhabitants of the land. For, lo, I will call all the families of the kingdoms of the north, saith the Lord; and they shall come, and they shall set every one his throne at the entering of the gates of Jerusalem, and against all the walls thereof round about, and against all the cities of Judah. And I will utter my judgments against them touching all their wickedness, who have forsaken me, and have burned incense unto other gods, and worshipped the works of their own hands.”



I will start by saying that I do not believe that we in the Western world as Christians are on the same level as the children of Israel were in the Old Testament. Nor do I believe in what is referred to as “Replacement Theology” which is the belief that the church(universal) has replaced Israel as God's chosen people. These are both false doctrines and are not supported by God's Word.
That being said, we see the verses above. God is showing and telling Jeremiah what He is about to do to Judea. God has instructed Jeremiah that he will have a time in which God wants him to preach to the people. Jeremiah is to warn the people of their wicked ways and of God's coming judgement on them if they don't turn from their sin and repent. But God also makes it clear to Jeremiah they will not hear and will not repent. God makes it clear also that Jeremiah will be persecuted and ridiculed and tormented for standing for the truth. And God assures Jeremiah He will be with him through it all and will protect him through it all.
Now to our day and time. As a people who want to claim the name of Christ. The vast majority of the nations in Western Europe and the Americas want to claim they are Christian nations. Rooted and founded on some form of Christianity. Most on Catholicism or the harlot daughters thereof.
Just like the nations of Israel and Judea wanted to claim the name of God but wanted to follow their own lust so are the people who want to claim the name of Christ today. Sadly it is not just limited to those outside the true churches. Many of the membership of true churches are the same!
So many have fallen for the false religions of the world. Many church services are steeped in paganism or the false doctrines of the free will teachers. Sports and entertainment have taken president over the teaching of God's Word. Many Vacation Bible Schools and Youth Camps are more about fun and games than teaching our youth the truths of God's Word. We invite speakers to our churches who are known for their funny jokes or for their motivational speaking or the nice stories. Anything other than hell, fire, and brimstone preaching we heard ages ago. And we wonder why our youth are so easily persuaded by every wind of doctrine that blows?
What a disgrace we have become to our Heavenly Father!!! What a shame to the Bride-Groom we are!!! And all because of our rebellion against the one who gave His all for us. All because we want it our way and not His. Because we have made His commandments grievous for ourselves because of our lack of love for our Lord and Savior.
O child of God, flee the sinful lust of this lost and dying world. Leave behind the lust of thy youth. Follow the one who will give you peace. Put all your faith and trust in the one who bled and died for His chosen people.
But praise God, He loves us. Praise God, for a Bride-Groom who is patient and long suffering towards His bride. Who is willing to take her sins and temptations and turn them into lessons to teach her to be holy and righteous and all this for preparing her for Himself.
Pastors/teachers are you preaching the whole counsel of God? Or are you tickling the ears of the people and giving them what they want and not what they need? At the cost of your position have you given in to crowd and followed them instead of you leading them? What will be the consequences of what you have done or not have done?

Morning Devotional July 13, 2017

Galatians 1:6-12

6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:
7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.
8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
9 As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
10 For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.
11 But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.
12 For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.”


In the Lord's churches today we are seeing the very things Paul warned of so many times in his letters to the churches in his day. So many today want to follow the world's example of religion instead of simply following the commandments and examples of Christ. It is nothing short of a total denial and rebellion of the Deity and Sovereignty of the very Head of the churches.
Many if not most of our Lord's churches are lukewarm at best. A result of the people having itching ears for the pretty and sweet words of a false gospel and false doctrine.
Some may ask “what gives you the right to make these claims?” I say look to God's Word! Look at the things Paul and the other writers warned of. Read what they described as false prophets and false teachers and false doctrine. Are we not seeing it in the churches today? Even when a church has a godly pastor. Many of the members totally ignore his teaching of truth and fall back into the lust of world as soon as the service is over. Others are making plans for these things in their mind while the man of God is preaching against the very things they have a desire to do. What a shame we have become to our Heavenly Father!!! O how we deserve to be struck down with afflictions and torments for our rebellious nature!!!
Yet the Bride-Groom loves His bride. He loves her enough to correct her, to model her, and to shape her into the most holy and most righteous bride the world has ever seen. He prepares her for Himself!!!
O what a Savior!!! O what a loving God we serve!!! When we deserve death and hell and the grave, He forgives us and loves us unconditionally!!!

1 Corinthians 6:9-11
Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.”



Dear reader, have you been washed in the blood of Jesus Christ? Have you been sanctified and justified in the name of our Lord and Savior? All by the Spirit of God. If so then why do we seek after our former life of sin so? Why do we rebel against the one who bled and died as our redeemer from said sins? O child of God, follow not after the world and the lust thereof. Follow Christ!!! If ye love Him follow His commandments. If we love Him His commandments will not be grievous to us but a blessing. Though we once were as those unsaved are we are no more. We have been made free from the sin and hell. So let's act like it!!!
Show the unsaved world you are different from them. We must be witnesses for Christ in this life. We must be salt and light. Flee the darkness and follow the light of Christ in all things!!!

1 Corinthians 15:1-11
1Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
2By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
3For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
4And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
5And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve:
6After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep.
7After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles.
8And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time.
9For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.
10But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.
11Therefore whether it were I or they, so we preach, and so ye believed.”



O child of God, do you remember the gospel by which you were saved? O how could we ever forget!!! O the sacrifice our Lord and Savior made for His people!!! He gave all that we might have all!!!
O how it does us good to read again from God's Word, the life, death, burial, and resurrection of our Lord and Savior. The very Son of God!!! O what greater love hath no man than this, that he would lay down his life for his friends!!! All because He loved us!!!
What a soul stirring thrill it should give us to hear the gospel preached and taught again.
But you say you care not to hear the gospel again? Once was enough to save your soul and once is enough? What? Did you believe in vain? Was your professing of Christ false? What child of God would not want to hear again how Jesus Christ, the Son of God, came to save His people from their sins? If this is you friend, you, more than anyone need to hear the gospel of Christ over again!!! Put away your selfish pride and believe on the name of Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved!!! Forsake the world and the lust there of and follow Christ!!!

Morning Devotional July 4, 2017

2 Corinthians 3:17
Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.”



As we here in the United States celebrate Independence Day, let us not forget where our true liberty comes from. Only the Holy Spirit gives true liberty. And only through Jesus Christ.
Though we, as God's children, have been blessed beyond measure in this country with physical liberties through Christ we have a much higher level of liberty of the soul. Through Christ we have been made free from our sin. We are no longer enslaved by the sin that once had us bond in the briar patch of this old sinful world. We have been set free by the Great Shepherd and now live in His promises and His hope of things to come.
O what a glorious Savior we serve!!! O what joy to know the freedom of being a child of God brings!!!
On this day that so many hold as sacred for our nation, let us not forget the one who gave the freedoms we have, not to the unsaved, but to His people. Let us not forget that what we have here has been for the glory of God and not the glory of man. If it were not for God and His providence we would not have what we have. And as bad as it may seem now it will one day be much worse.
We have the freedom to worship the Lord and sing His praises and preach His Word for now. But for how much longer? As God's children we are not promised physical freedom and liberty here on this earth. But God, has given us this for a time. We must be about the Master's business while He gives us this time.

Morning Devotional July 1st, 2017

Proverbs 30:6

Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.”






O what a blessing our God has given us by providing us with His written Word. Why would we ever want to add to or take away from the beautiful writing of our Heavenly Father? How selfish and evil a man would have to be to want to do such a thing.
In God's Word we see from the creation of all things in Heaven and earth all the way to the total destruction and refurbishment of the same. We see the first man fall in sin and through him sin enter the whole world. Then, by God's grace we see God send His Son to be the sacrifice to free His chosen people from their sin.
In God's Word He tells us how we should live our daily lives. God commands us to follow His moral laws and commands us on how we should follow Him in all things. He even commands us to study His Word daily and gives examples of people who followed His commandments and of those who did not follow His commandments. And even seeing these examples of both we still struggle to follow Him.
And O the love of God we see in His Word!!! Our Heavenly Father makes clear and plain His love for His children in His Word. A love like we will never know from anyone in this life. An everlasting love full of grace and mercy. A love so strong that He would send His only begotten Son to shed His blood for the people He had chosen before the creation to be His.
O the wonderful story we read of the Son of God and His Bride the Church. A romantic love story like none we would ever read in a novel or see in a movie. A Bride-Groom totally dedicated to His Bride. So dedicated He died, was buried, and rose again so that she would be sanctified and cleansed of her sin making her righteous and holy. So dedicated is this Bride-Groom that He will come back and take His Bride out of the world when it is time for His Father to bring tribulation on the unsaved of this world for their rebellion against Him.
O what a hope we have that our Lord will take us to be with Him for all eternity!!! O what a blessing to know we will be with Him, praising His name and worshiping Him throughout all eternity!!! O what a blessing to read of all this and more in His Holy Word!!!
What purpose could a man have for wanting to make changes to the written Word of God? To despise and hide the loving words of our Heavenly Father is nothing short of blasphemy.
O child of God, follow the commandments of our Lord that He lays out in His Word. Study to shew thyself approved unto God. Not unto man. Give God the glory for His Word. Not man for manipulating and lying to hide the precious truths of our Lord and Savior.
