2 Corinthians 3:17-18
“17 Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.”
Nowhere in Scripture are we told the liberty we have in Christ Jesus is a liberty to sin or a liberty to follow the world. To the contrary, we are told the liberty we are given at the time of salvation is given by the Holy Spirit is a liberty from sin and the world. By the Holy Spirit of God we are made free from our sins. So, why would we want to fall back into our former life of sin? Why do so many of God's people seek the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the pride of life? As children rebel against their parents, so do we rebel against our Heavenly Father.
Our Heavenly Father has made us free from sin and given us liberty to live a life free from that sin. Let us do so.
