Psalm 23:5
“Thou preparest a table before me in the
presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth
over.”
Oh the table He has prepared for us! In the
very presence of our enemies our Lord has provided the very spiritual food that
we need to sustain us for our walk through this life. As the world surrounds us
on every side and we think all is lost, our Lord shows us the table he has prepared
for us. He allows us to sup in peace with our King as the spiritual battle
rages all around us. We can always go to Him for the spiritual nourishment we
need.
He anoints our heads with the finest and the
sweetest smelling of oils. That is to say the blessings he bestows upon us are
much more than we could ever imagine.
“My cup runneth over”! With all the many
blessing our Lord has given us we cannot contain them all. We are over flowing
with blessings.
May the Lord overflow your cup as we enter
into another blessed weekend.
