Psalm 112:1
“Praise ye the Lord. Blessed is the man that
feareth the Lord, that delighteth greatly in his commandments.”
“Praise ye the Lord.” What wonderful words
to the child of God! And yet so many today seem to think it a burden to praise
our Lord. We see, in our every day walk in this life, people who claim the name
of our Lord but have no “want to” to praise Him. It has been a burden on my
heart for such people. So many of our families, friends, and co-workers will
find it burdensome to praise the Lord or to take the time to praise the Lord.
This world is full of all kinds of traps set by the devil to draw us away from
thse times of praise but we are commanded by our Heavenly Father to praise Him.
I John 5:3 “For this is the love of God,
that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.”
For the child of God, His commandments are
not “grievous” or burdensome. It is a delight to our very soul to follow the
commandments of our Lord. It is the love He has bestowed upon us that causes us
to want to follow His commandments.
So if you truly love Him: “Praise ye the
Lord.”
I pray you all have a blessed weekend!
