Luke 1:37
“For with God nothing shall be impossible.”
As we prepare for the beginning of the new year let us remember these words. Though we know not what is ahead in the coming days and weeks and months, our God is all knowing and will guide us through whatever He has for us.
Psalm 27:1
“The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?”

Romans 5:2-5
2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
3 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;
4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope:
5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.”

Romans 6:16
“Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?”

O child of God, whom do you follow today? Is your obedience and loyalty to our Lord and Savior or is it to the false god of self? Does your ways seem more important than the ways of the one who saved your soul from your sin? If you are truly His then follow Christ today. Flee the lust and the pride of this life and humble yourself before our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Pray without ceasing. Seek His face. Follow His commandments. Leave behind the lies and the cares of this world and follow the only one who truly loves you and cares for you more than any other.
Remember, we are His and He is ours. Follow Him!!!

Acts 20:7
“And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight.”

How many of us are willing to sit and listen to a preacher preach till midnight? How many of us are willing to sit and listen to a preacher at all? In the New Testament there are plenty of examples of how God's people set and listened to the men God sent to them. These people were starving for the Word of God. Where is this hunger for God's Word today?
Also notice these people were called “disciples”. They were there to learn the ways of our Lord. Not to play games or to be entertained. They were there to learn and to worship. Many today are audiences filled with fans rather than congregations filled with disciples. Which are you?
Praise the Lord, pray without ceasing!!! If you are a member of a local church go today. If it is to far to travel, there are many ways to listen or watch services online. Don't have a church? Do you desire to follow the examples the Lord gives in His Word for church membership? Then seek His guidance on where He would have you to go. If there are no true churches in your area, contact me. I may can help or know someone who can.
You have no desire to join one of the Lord's churches? Why not? Are you a child of God that is living in rebellion against our Heavenly Father? Why would you not want to follow the examples given in His Word and join the membership of one of His churches? Why would one of His children not desire to be apart of the bride of the Son of God?
Or have you not received the free gift of salvation in Jesus Christ? Is His Holy Spirit working on you today? Is He calling you to Himself? Receive Him today and repent of your sins and follow Jesus in scriptural baptism and into full fellowship with one of His churches.

“5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

Acts 11:19-26
“19 Now they which were scattered abroad upon the persecution that arose about Stephen travelled as far as Phenice, and Cyprus, and Antioch, preaching the word to none but unto the Jews only.
20 And some of them were men of Cyprus and Cyrene, which, when they were come to Antioch, spake unto the Grecians, preaching the Lord Jesus.
21 And the hand of the Lord was with them: and a great number believed, and turned unto the Lord.
22 Then tidings of these things came unto the ears of the church which was in Jerusalem: and they sent forth Barnabas, that he should go as far as Antioch.
23 Who, when he came, and had seen the grace of God, was glad, and exhorted them all, that with purpose of heart they would cleave unto the Lord.
24 For he was a good man, and full of the Holy Ghost and of faith: and much people was added unto the Lord.
25 Then departed Barnabas to Tarsus, for to seek Saul:
26 And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.”

In these verses we see an example of how a New Testament church is to come about. Notice first, they preached the Lord Jesus to the Grecians(Gentiles). Second, when word reached the original church in Jerusalem, that church sent Barnabas(a missionary) to Antioch to confirm what they had heard. Third, Barnabas sought the help of Saul(Paul) to help teach people of Antioch. Lastly, the members of this newly founded church who were under Barnabas and Saul's discipleship for a whole year were called Christians. By definition, in God's Word, one must be a member of and a disciple in a New Testament church to be a Christian. The name Christian is not a name to be taken lightly. Many today want to claim the name of Christian but not follow our Lord in His commandments nor take seriously the membership and discipleship of one of the Lord's true churches. Notice the people of the church in Antioch were not sitting at home teaching themselves or only reading God's Word for themselves. They were meeting with the church and being disciples of the teaching of the men who God had sent. Yes, God tells us we must be like the Bereans and study daily what is taught. But study what or who? God did not say study only on our own. Though we are commanded to read His Word and have our daily Bible readings. We are to keep His word in our hearts also. But He also tells us to study what we are taught by those who are preaching and teaching to the congregation.
Child of God, are you the member of a true New Testament church of Jesus Christ? If not, why not? Are you faithful to the church you are a member of? If not, why not? Some may have no true church close by. Have you asked any of the Lord's churches to send a missionary or for their pastor to visit? There is also such a thing as long distance members in some churches. You can still be a part of a true church and live at a distance. It is not the best situation but with today's technology you can receive sermons and teaching via internet or phone or a number of other ways.
Christian, pray for others who need discipleship. There are many of the Lord's people out there who desire to be taught and to have fellowship and membership with one of the Lord's churches. If you can help, don't wait. Let these others know they are in your prayers and offer them advice in what they seek.
Pray one for another. Seek Christ and His discipleship. As children of God we should be seeking to be one of those who are in the Bride of Christ. The Word of God is clear, only those who are faithful in one of the Lord's churches will be in the Bride of the Son of God.

Hebrews 4:1-4
“4 Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.
2 For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.
3 For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.
4 For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works.”

Matthew 14:31
“And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?”

How many of us are strong enough in our faith to step out on the water in the middle of a storm? Remember Peter had the faith to make the initial few steps but was filled with doubt when he took his eyes off of the Lord.
Do we not act as Peter did when we are faced with trials and storms in this life? When we refuse to leave our “comfort zone” to go where the Lord has told us to go. Or to do what He has told us to do. Even when we think our faith is at it's strongest, doubts and fears enter our thoughts and we falter.
The key for Peter was to keep his eyes on the Lord while he did what others thought impossible by walking on the water. The same holds true for us today. Even when the storms of life come. We must keep our eyes on our Lord as we follow His lead in this life.
O child of God, follow Christ. Keep you eyes always on Him!!!

1 John 3:18
“My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.”

How many of us love our brothers and sisters in Christ “in deed and in truth?” How often do we show our love for them? Do they know if we pray for them? Is our love sincere or just because we are told to love?
Our Lord spoke often of loving one another in His Word. So obviously it was very important to Him that we love one another. Is our love for one another just as important to us? Do we not seek the love of others ourselves? Then why do we neglect something that should come so easy and should be common place in our lives?
O child of God, love your brothers and sisters sincerely. Show them the love Christ has given you for them. Let them know you pray often for them.

Morning Devotional December 1st, 2018

1 Corinthians 13
“1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.
3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.
4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;
6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
8 Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.
9 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.
10 But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.
11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.”

O child of God, where is your charity towards your brothers and sisters in Christ? Do you love unconditionally as we are commanded or only when it is convenient to suit yourself? Is your charity based on your wants and needs or is it based on the love of Christ that is in you?
Forsake the selfish examples set by the world in out day and time and follow the example of our Lord and Savior. Love your brothers and sisters as Jesus loves you. Unconditionally, with all long suffering when needed. Remember, they are your brothers and sisters. Remember, like you, they are the children of God.

Romans 5:1-8
“1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
3 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;
4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope:
5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.
8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”

Psalm 116:12
“What shall I render unto the Lord for all his benefits toward me?”

In this life what do we have to offer our Lord for what He has done for us? Is there anything we have to offer that is good enough? Is there anything we can offer that He would want?
John 4:23-24
23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.”
The answer is simple. But perhaps more simple than we want to admit. God's desire is for His people to worship Him and only Him. When we go to God to worship Him, whether in private or public worship, we “must worship Him in spirit and truth.” No form of false doctrine or half-truth(if there is such a thing) will do. God will not honor and is not pleased by worship that is not lead by His Holy Spirit and is not truth.
On this week that we will celebrate a day of Thanksgiving to God for His mercies and blessings over the past year, many will claim the name of Christ and claim His blessings as their own for this one day or maybe for the whole week. Our worship for God is not turned on and off like a water faucet. Nor does it turn into a pumpkin at midnight on Thanksgiving night not to rise again until the next holy day.
Our love and admiration and our worship for our God, our Heavenly Father, is everlasting and never ending. The true worshippers are the ones He seeks. For it is those who are His own. It is those whom He chose before the foundations of the world. This worship in spirit and in truth is what our Heavenly Father desires and requires from His children.

Psalm 100
“Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands. Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing. Know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.”

As we enter into the time our national forefathers set aside as a time of thanksgiving to God for all His blessings on us as a nation let us, as God's people not forget we are commanded to “be thankful unto him, and bless his name.” Let us also remember this commandment knows nothing of time. We are to be thankful and bless His name continually. Pray without ceasing is the command our Lord gives us.
As we show the rest of our nation and the world our reverence and thankfulness to our Heavenly Father this week let us also remember the freedom our God has given us to observe a day of Thanksgiving to Him and for His mercies on us that we are still permitted to come together and worship our Sovereign Creator.

2 Corinthians 5:1-8
“1 For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.
2 For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven:
3 If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked.
4 For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life.
5 Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit.
6 Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord:
7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight:)
8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.”

Psalm 95:1-6
“1 O come, let us sing unto the Lord: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation.
2 Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms.
3 For the Lord is a great God, and a great King above all gods.
4 In his hand are the deep places of the earth: the strength of the hills is his also.
5 The sea is his, and he made it: and his hands formed the dry land.
6 O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the Lord our maker.”

1 Thessalonians 5:18
“In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.”

“In everything give thanks”, not just the good but the bad also. God said “everything”. God's will for us is that everything, good or bad, is to His glory and our good.
How often we grumble and complain because of the trials and troubles we suffer through but are not these also promised from God to strengthen our faith in Him and to teach us patience?
As we enter into the season that our nation used to observe as a time to give thanks to God, let us as His children remind those around us the true reason for the day of Thanksgiving that our founding fathers set aside as a nation, a day, to remember the blessings and the lessons we have learned this past year.
Let us not forget to whom all thanks and praise is to be given. Not just for one day but everyday He gives us breathe.

Look to our Lord in your time of grief and woe. Only He will bring true comfort.

Hebrews 12:5-11
“5 And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him:
6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.
7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?
8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.
9 Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?
10 For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness.
11 Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.”

John 14:21
“He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.”

Where is your love today? Is it for Christ? Or for self? Or the things of the world? Who do you follow?
If you are a child of God then follow Christ!!! If you are lost and the Lord is calling you to Himself, follow Christ!!!
His commandments are only grievous when we make them so. If we would just follow Him O how much more we would see His blessings.
Follow Christ today. Prove your love for Him by keeping His commandments!!!

Romans 6:14-23
“14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.
15 What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.
16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?
17 But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.
18 Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.
19 I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness.
20 For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness.
21 What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death.
22 But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.
23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

Psalm 32:10
“Many sorrows shall be to the wicked: but he that trusteth in the Lord, mercy shall compass him about.”

Where is our trust this morning? Are we trusting in the failed promises of this world or is our trust in the everlasting promises of God? Which will show us true mercy? Only God!!!
Though we may find temporary peace and joy in this life our Heavenly Father promises so much more for all eternity. But what of the peace and joy we may find in this world? Does it satisfy our hungry soul? Will it show us mercy and grace in our time of need? If we are truly children of God, nothing will satisfy like His everlasting love. If only we will trust Him and Him alone.

Psalm 55:22
“Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.”

Our Lord commands us to pray without ceasing. In good times and bad we are to pray. But why is it so difficult for us go to our Heavenly Father with every burden we suffer? Why do we wait till despair and gloom over take us before we plead for the mercy He has promised?
If we would learn to go to Him in prayer when the problem first arises instead of waiting till it blows up in our face, how much more peaceable could our life be? How much less stressful would our daily lives be if we would just lay our burdens on our Lord like He told us too? Oh, but wait, they means we would have to follow Him, doesn't it?
Where is our love for our Lord today? Do we love Him enough to follow His commandments? Or have His commandments become grievous to us because of our lack of love for Him?
O child of God, follow Christ!!! How we live our lives must be an example to others of how much we love our Lord. Are we willing to sacrifice all for Him? Are we willing to flee the lust of the world and the pride of life to live a life of peace and joy in Christ Jesus? We must have our priorities straight. Set your eyes on things above. Seek His face in all that you do and He will give you peace.

Psalm 53:1
“The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that doeth good.”

In his last book, author and scientist Stephen Hawking declared “There is no God.” “No one directs the universe.” His book was released earlier this week.
This was not the first time Mr. Hawking made such a statement. But supposedly this was the last recorded time he admitted such foolishness. In his final book “Brief Answers to the Big Questions” Mr. Hawking continued with his denial of God being who God says He is. (It is interesting to note that Mr. Hawking's first name “Stephen” is derived from a story in the Bible.)
Some have looked to this man as the top scientist in the world in his lifetime if not in all of history. Yet, like so many before him he refused to see through the very creation he studied to understand the meaning of why and who created all things.
Some of the most educated men with their expensive telescopes and microscopes have access to things in God's creation in person that most of us will only ever see in a news report or a documentary. And yet they will deny the very Creator who created the things they observe and study.
God's Word is clear. “The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God.”
As for Stephen Hawking it is too late. Unless our Lord showed mercy on him on his death bed, he left this world and opened his eyes in hell. We should pray for those who have such knowledge but refuse God the Creator. Pray our Lord open their spiritual eyes to the truth. And pray those who follow such foolishness would see the confusion and false teachings presented by those who deny the very Creator of all heaven and earth.
Remember, God's Word is truth. Follow Him and not the lies of man.

Lamentations 3:22-23
“22 It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.
23 They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.”

Praise God for His mercies upon us a wicked and evil people!!! Without His mercies where would we be? No doubt on our very way to hell and eternal torment. Just what we deserve! But God, showed mercy on us and before He created anything He chose us to be His very own!!! What a glorious thought to know with all our doubts and fears and rebellions He still loves us enough to show mercy on us. What a blessing to think on the mercy of God first thing every morning.

Matthew 24:36
“But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.”

O what a promise we have from our Lord that He will return for us one day, the day appointed by our Heavenly Father!!! How different would our life be if we knew exactly the day He was to return for His Bride? We are commanded to work until He comes. We are given the example of how a bride is to be about her business of preparing before her bridegroom comes to take her away to the wedding. So are we to be about our Father's business before He sends His Son. In the old traditions of the Jewish faith, the bride nor the bridegroom knew the day the father of the bridegroom had set aside as the day he would tell his son “go”.
Today we see and hear of many false preachers teaching of a certain day or year or month. Yet our Lord says “no man, not the angels of heaven but my Father only.” know the day or the hour. We should not even concern ourselves with such foolishness. The Bride of Christ and her maids are commanded to watch and work till He comes. We are given things to watch for. He tells us in verse 37 “But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.” So we know by this that when we see things in this world getting as bad as they were in the days of Noah that we can expect our time here to be short.
We look around us and we see happenings all over the world and we can know He is coming soon. We don't know the day or the hour but our hope is that it will be soon. This is the promise we have from our Heavenly Father and from the Bridegroom His Son. And O what a promise it is!!! O what a time that will be when our Jesus we shall see!!! When all our hopes come true and the Bridegroom comes and calls us away to the wedding. The wedding of all weddings!!! What a glorious time to be in the presence of our Lord!!! And if we have been counted among the faithful and are a part of His Bride!!! O what joy that will be!!!
Praise ye the Lord!!!

Luke 6:46
“And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?”

How often do we cry “Lord, Lord!!!” in times of desperation and despair but refuse to follow the one on whom we call? Jesus told us in John 14:15 “If ye love me, keep my commandments.” But do we? How often do we wait till we are in dire straits before we show our love for our Lord?
We want to reap the bounty of His grace and mercy but we desire not to follow Him in His commandments. We will follow the lust of the world and the pride of life but refuse the peace and joy that comes from following Christ.
I John 5:3 “For this is the love of God, that we keep his comandments: and his commandments are not grievous.”
So then why do we make God's commandments grievous? If we will only follow Him how much peace and joy would we have in this life?
Our rebellion against our Heavenly Father is a poor witness to those around us. Whether to the saved or to the unsaved. They all see us when we rebel and doubt our love for our Savior and Lord that we claim so dear.
O child of God, are you living a life of rebellion against our Heavenly Father today? Stop your rebellion and follow Christ. Prove to the world around you who you are and whose you are. Show the love of Christ to all you come in contact with daily. Forsake the lust of the world and the pride of life and follow Christ. Fore it is only when we follow Christ that we find true peace and joy and rest in this life.

“O Lord God of hosts, hear my prayer: give ear, O God of Jacob. Selah. Behold, O God our shield, and look upon the face of thine anointed. For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness. For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly. O Lord of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee.”

“6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

Micah 7:18
“Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy.”

O what a glorious God we serve!!! O what mercy and grace He bestows upon His own!!! Even in our wickedness and failings He is quick to forgive.
Though our Heavenly Father has given us all grace and mercy, we as sinful men still refuse to give Him the honor and glory He deserves. We fall far short of the witnesses we should be for our Lord and Savior. Yet He still loves us.
If we would just follow Christ and do His commandments O how peaceful would our life be? What peace and joy we could have if we just followed Him. Even in our trails and tribulations God's grace and mercy will bring us peace and joy if we will just follow Christ.
“Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage?” There is no other.

Daniel 9:3-19
“3 And I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes:
4 And I prayed unto the Lord my God, and made my confession, and said, O Lord, the great and dreadful God, keeping the covenant and mercy to them that love him, and to them that keep his commandments;
5 We have sinned, and have committed iniquity, and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, even by departing from thy precepts and from thy judgments:
6 Neither have we hearkened unto thy servants the prophets, which spake in thy name to our kings, our princes, and our fathers, and to all the people of the land.
7 O Lord, righteousness belongeth unto thee, but unto us confusion of faces, as at this day; to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and unto all Israel, that are near, and that are far off, through all the countries whither thou hast driven them, because of their trespass that they have trespassed against thee.
8 O Lord, to us belongeth confusion of face, to our kings, to our princes, and to our fathers, because we have sinned against thee.
9 To the Lord our God belong mercies and forgivenesses, though we have rebelled against him;
10 Neither have we obeyed the voice of the Lord our God, to walk in his laws, which he set before us by his servants the prophets.
11 Yea, all Israel have transgressed thy law, even by departing, that they might not obey thy voice; therefore the curse is poured upon us, and the oath that is written in the law of Moses the servant of God, because we have sinned against him.
12 And he hath confirmed his words, which he spake against us, and against our judges that judged us, by bringing upon us a great evil: for under the whole heaven hath not been done as hath been done upon Jerusalem.
13 As it is written in the law of Moses, all this evil is come upon us: yet made we not our prayer before the Lord our God, that we might turn from our iniquities, and understand thy truth.
14 Therefore hath the Lord watched upon the evil, and brought it upon us: for the Lord our God is righteous in all his works which he doeth: for we obeyed not his voice.
15 And now, O Lord our God, that hast brought thy people forth out of the land of Egypt with a mighty hand, and hast gotten thee renown, as at this day; we have sinned, we have done wickedly.
16 O Lord, according to all thy righteousness, I beseech thee, let thine anger and thy fury be turned away from thy city Jerusalem, thy holy mountain: because for our sins, and for the iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and thy people are become a reproach to all that are about us.
17 Now therefore, O our God, hear the prayer of thy servant, and his supplications, and cause thy face to shine upon thy sanctuary that is desolate, for the Lord's sake.
18 O my God, incline thine ear, and hear; open thine eyes, and behold our desolations, and the city which is called by thy name: for we do not present our supplications before thee for our righteousnesses, but for thy great mercies.
19 O Lord, hear; O Lord, forgive; O Lord, hearken and do; defer not, for thine own sake, O my God: for thy city and thy people are called by thy name.”

When is the last time you sought the Lord God through prayer and supplications for His churches and His people? These are harsh things Daniel prays for and about all of Israel. Could these same things be in the Lord's churches also? Please remember to pray fervently for your fellow church members and our brothers and sisters who are members of other churches. Pray God would keep us from false doctrine and the lust of the world. There are many who have strayed from the truth and many more who are leaning towards false doctrine. Pray our Lord show them the truth and cause them to follow Him.
Praise ye the Lord!!!
