Morning Devotional May 29, 2018

Psalm 37:1-6
“Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity. For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb. Trust in the Lord, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.”

Many times God instructs His children to not be concerned with the doings and goings on of this world. Our Lord reminds us over and over to put all our trust in Him and not in ourselves and surely not in this old sinful world.
In these verses we are reminded that our time here on earth is short and the time for God's wrath to come on those who have worked evil against Him and His people is soon. Part of the promise our Lord has given to us is that He will, one day, judge those who have persecuted us in this life and their sentence will be eternal torment. They will have their just reward in that day and we will dwell in the Kingdom of God with our Lord and Savior.
But, God tells us if we want peace in this life we must follow Christ. We are to commit everything we do unto the Lord. We must give unto Him all our trust and fear only Him.
O child of God, follow Christ today!!! Seek to please Him only. Flee the lust of this life and the sins of this world. Pray without ceasing. Seek constant communion with our Heavenly Father and He will give us peace and joy in this life.

Praise ye the Lord!!!
