Psalm 119:162
"I rejoice at thy word, as one that findeth great
spoil."
The Word of God is by far the greatest collection of books
we will ever read. God's Word contains all the information and instruction the
Saint of God will ever need to survive our day to day life in this world full
of sin. For the child of God these are made plain and clear. But if we are not
willing to listen to His commandments how easily we can be lead astray by every
wind of false doctrine. And for this reason we must stay in and study
diligently God's Word daily and with every opprotunity throughout every day.
Yet, there is much more to God's Word than instruction and
commandments. God's love for His people is prevalent on every page. And oh what
a love!!! Even with as wicked and evil and rebellious as we are, our Heavenly
Father, knowing all this beforehand, still chose us before the foundation of
the earth. He chose us unto salvation because of His love for us. He loved us
so much that He gave His only begotten Son as the ultimate sacrifice to wipe
away all our sins.
O the wealth of knowledge that is contained in God's Word!!!
O what a blessing it is to have a copy and to be able to read it and study it
whenever and wherever we want.
But do we? If we are honest. Do we study as much as we
should? Do we study every time we have time? How much of the world takes of our
time when we should be spending our time with our Heavenly Father in His Word.
Learning and loving Him as He would want us.
O child of God, study God's Word. Wake in the morning with
God's Word on your mind. Spend your day with thoughts of His Word on our minds.
Read His Word with every opprotunity. Fall asleep at the end of the day with
thoughts of God's Word.
Praise God we have His Word so easily available. Praise God
for all that He has given us in His Word that teaches us and reminds us of His
love for us.
Praise ye the Lord!!!
